I'm sure you guys know of my little crush. I told a few friends and the entire school knows as of now, and I'm convinced the lady herself knows. As of now, I've taken to avoiding them (my friends) at lunch and other times of leisure.

Right now, I'm not really sure who to trust.

Has anyone else had issues like this? If so, what did you do to fix them, and did you take risks by trying to trust other people too?

If its your teacher forget it.

If its a girl around your age then Its better that she knows it since you will probably get her answer on whether she likes you too or not soon. If not, ask your friends to find out whether she likes you, that is if they have a big social circle in school. If she doesnt mind getting to know you, well done. If she doesnt want to, let her go. You wont reach anything by hiding it. Your friends did the right thing. Keep in mind not to tell that to every friend, just to those who may be able to help you out.

You guys are like 15, 16 years old right? Yeah, that shit was definitely going to happen, plus they probably thought it was funny, or they probably thought it wasn't serious to you and decided to make a joke out of it.

You should move to a different high school.

Cowardice has never solved anything - he shouldn't run.

If he just plays his cards right, he could turn the plight around.

Before I even suggest anything; did your friends believe you?

It's funny how you think this is some kind of game that should be won.

It's not being a coward, it's not having to deal with little kids who can't learn to close their mouths.

If I am telling my friends something that I trust them with and it turns out they tell other people that I didn't want to know about, then why would I want to keep putting up with it.

You can't win everything, so sometimes it is better for people to relocate to a different place to get away from all the drama, especially if he is being laughed at by the entire school.

If being smart means being a coward then so be it.

I never insinuated it was a game - that's your observation.

All I was saying was that he shouldn't "start" then not "finish". And if you're saying he should just relocate instead of confront his mistake, then he'll not learn anything from his mistake. That was the point: he needs to learn and if running away whenever a problem arises looks like it's a good advice he should take, then that's fine.

But it's not wise, and who knows how big the situation is. He's only said he's been avoiding his friends. He hasn't said anything else about his friends. They could be laughing at him, but it can't go on forever. They'll find something else to focus on, and it wasn't a wise decision in the first place to tell his friends about it. If anything, it's helped him realize they weren't his friends to begin with.

All he could do now, is confront them and maybe change up the story, or simply de-friend them and find new friends.

The thing will subside eventually - as long as he doesn't give it a reason not to.

Really, though, you should think about it. Running away can be an option but it's not always wise to run away from problems. Especially problems like this. By even asking his parents: it'll be making it worse. They'll start to suspect there's something going on and if they went to his school to fish out some information: things would get really worse.

1. Teenagers are dumbasses. They don't care about your problems, they just want a good laugh. Hell, change teenagers to people.

2. Time heals most wounds. This will probably go away eventually.

3. Confront your friends or ignore it like it never happened but this time you're woke to what the evil teenagers can do. Trust nobody for emotions bar people who've come to you for their problems. This way, they will actually care and if not, they won't be dumb enough to tell your secrets.

I don't wanna give you trust issues but the reality is, as a guy, sharing sensitive stuff about yourself is generally not good.
