Careful what you claim about people. I left college. Or, perhaps it is more accurate to say college left me. In either case, I am well aware of the numerous studies, their methods, and challenges to them.
The problem is that race and IQ are very closely tied together at the population level. At the individual level, things get a little bit different, as the metrics change if you begin sampling by industry, income, etc. There, while certain races may over or under-represent within those groups, race has little to no bearing on tested IQ.
Your failure to address the issue and to try and deflect it as racism, however, is precisely the reason it keeps being brought up.
It's a statistical fact that blacks, when tested in population-level studies, test lower in IQ than the background population and even other minority groups like Asians (who tend to test relatively higher in many cases). Rather than actually address this point or offer to explain it in any capacity, your reaction is to dismiss the claim as racist. Which effectively hands us an easy victory.
The proper counter involves a discussion of the various other factors shown to impact IQ, how they apply to the black population, and that it isn't a "blacks are stupid" - but that "blacks have adopted a culture that has failed to develop the types of people who score well in tests of IQ."
The problem is that if this is done, then the culture of Europeans and Asians must be acknowledged as superior. The 'Classic culture' of these societies shouldn't be replaced whole-sale, as modern liberals assert, and should instead by further analyzed and nurtured to perform even better than it has in the past. If culture produces objectively superior or inferior people for its society, then there are objectively superior and inferior cultures.
Worse, it means that many negative factors associated with minority populations can be mitigated by incorporating the elements of demonstrably successful cultures. When income, job prospects, and violence rates improve - the political marketing point that minority groups are the targets of racism (and that is why their world sucks) flies out the window. The point of politics is rarely to build an empowered people. It is to build a people beholden to the system and servile to its demands.
Which is why the liberals can only play the card of calling people racists. It is the only way they can potentially get out of the corner they will be painted into if they begin to actually deal with the subject.
