United States is a shitty country right now as it is.
So I wouldn't worry about it all that much if I were you.
People from unknown countries are always talking shit about America. Laughable

America is become shitty. I'm an American. Yes, we have so many freedoms, but there's still the fact that we're becoming divided. There's so much corruption and injustices going on in this country, it's pitiful.

What I said, "People from unknown countries are always talking shit about America. Laughable"The fact that you don't know about the existence of a country is something you're supposed to be ashamed of, not proud
Amusing wouldn't be the word I'd use, It's very "rare" to see a display of north-american national pride. It's become popular on the internet for American's to hold disdain for America, not to mention people feel intellectually enlightened when they do so. Patriotism is so uncritical and reflexive; "Only a deep thinker would hate his country (yet stay on to enjoy its privileges)".It's Always amusing To See a display of north-american's national pride

Yeah the left/fake news has done a great job at dividing the people.
It's not just those two things. There's more behind it but I'm not going into detail because I know it would spark a war based on race, corruption amongst the richest,
and social injustice.
I'll rather sit back, crack a beer open, and watch it play out.

What you're suggesting I said "Wow, I don't even know the name of your country. Laughable"
And where would be the point of shame in not knowing an irrelevant country that has no hand over the grand scheme of the human race, yet alone any distinguishing characteristics that would make it notable? I bet you wouldn't be capable of pointing out Tansuwhereverthe**** on a globe less you lived their or was a bordering country.
1) the point is not that you ought to be able to find out any single country on the globe, but that there's no reason for you to be proud of your ignorance, or to claim that if you don't know about a country then it is the country itself which deserves the blame.
2) what you judge Tunisia to be, namely "an irrelevant country that has no hand over the grand scheme of the human race" is completely irrelevant. Or to say it better, it's a red herring, a dishonest attempt to draw the attention away from the topic. If anything, the fact that you use such a fascist terminology says a lot of you and the "American pride" you cherish.
The bottom line is that there is something you didn't know (the existence of Tunisia) and instead of acknowledging that you have learned something you mock it because of your own ignorance.
3) in any case, your whole argument is self refuting. You start off claiming that you don't know Tunisia but then you evidently claim you know about it enough to say it's irrelevant and has no distinguishing characteristics
4) you say that I probably wouldn't be able to find countries in the globe either. Leaving aside the fact that it's simply false, that wouldn't help your case at all. Why? Because at maximum you'd prove that both you and I are ignorant of geography. But given that my own knowledge of geography is not the issue, you would accomplish nothing even if what you said were right.

I'll keep copying and pasting my original response until you actually respond to it, and not the strawman you're trying to formulate.
I did answer to it, if you paid attention I wrote "but that there's no reason for you to be proud of your ignorance, or to claim that if you don't know about a country then it is the country itself which deserves the blame". You simply limited to mock one alternative without even bothering to engage with the other.
In any case, even if we were to accept that the blunder you wrote counts as a reply, you haven't addressed points 2, 3 and 4, so you're definitely not in the position to tell me that I don't engage with your points
You don't really have the right to complain either. I didn't get time to actually respond to your thread because I got sidetracked. You say Trump cannot deprive people of their rights, but you need to understand being able to travel to the U.S. is not your right, it's a privilege granted to those outside the U.S., so from the perspective of Trump is committing a cruel or unfair act, I disagree with you.Guys Deadlift & fiji, could you please stop fighting/arguing like that? If there is someone here who has to complain, it should be me in the first place!
fiji, I had heard before about the American's famous national pride & I can see that from your choice of words. It's not like we (I mean any person from any country) should be ashamed of our national pride or anything like that. Any country has something they should be proud of, you know! The point is that we should accept that any country has some degree of 'black spots' in their policies & it's always natural to try to conceal the negative sides! The policies of the US now has become quite stressful, cruel & unfair for some common ppl like me who want to have better chances in their lives & are faced with discrimination based on their religion, race or whatever. That's not something positive anyway you at it & you simply can't deprive ppl from their rights based on the things they couldn't choose! It's sometimes quite challenging for some ppl (from any country, not just the Americans) to get to that level of thinking.
I haven't tried to make any comments to spark hate in you or any American who voted for Trump. In case of my country, it actually wouldn't make much differences if Hillary was elected...

Although, I personally believe you should be able to enter the U.S. under a student visa because you're pursuing an education which would make you a productive member of society at large (whether it be in the U.S. or you're home country), so I do empathize with you. And though I believe Trump's foreign policy is ineffective and therefore a failure in terms of the countries he's chose to impose the moratorium upon; for example Saudi Arabia, isn't barred from entering the U.S. when it's the largest middle eastern proponent of radical Islamic terrorism. Not to mention Trump's recent actions against Syria and collaborating attacks on Yemen with Saudi Arabia seem like the worse course of action if the intent is to stop radical terrorist organizations, not providing them assistance as their personal air force in taking down Syria.
But back to your situation, I do hope that in your case you do gain entry to the U.S. through a student visa, but if that doesn't happen, I'm fairly certain Europe would gladly take you with open arms, and their college education is on par and is often superior to the U.S.'s
The constant criticism is what comes with not being an "unknown country". It's expected, not really laughable.People from unknown countries are always talking shit about America. Laughable
