Putin's aggressive speech was as part of the russian presidential election. Putin has not threatened the USA, he wanted to convince his people that he is the man who protect Russia. After that we push in infantry and with both naval and aerial support it'd be over in a few years. This kind of fight wouldn't be something like Iraq or Afghanistan and is more up our ball park. I honestly think at this moment the US could take on both Russia and China simultaneously if we really push it and had no other war obligations.
