"President Donald Trump’s silence in the face of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s unveiling of the Kremlin’s new Satan 2 nuclear missile, and a video showing it targeting the U.S., is “scary,” said a former American ambassador to Moscow.

Putin unveiled a new hypersonic intercontinental ballistic missile—which cannot be shot down by antimissile systems—Thursday during his annual address to Russia’s Federal Assembly in Moscow.

Other countries listen to Russia only when it comes out with new weapons, Putin said, adding, “You will listen to us now.” He showed a video of nuclear missiles raining down on what appeared to be Florida’s Tampa Bay area, home of the U.S. military’s Central Command.

“A Kremlin leader announced today several new nuclear weapon systems designed to attack America in novel, scary ways, and our commander in chief (unless I missed it?) did not say one word in response. Amazing,” wrote Michael McFaul, U.S. ambassador to Moscow under President Barack Obama.

McFaul wrote that “even 10 years ago, Putin's speech today threatening to attack America in new ways with nuclear weapons would have been sensational news, demanding a response from our president.

The thing is that they could be used. Especially if someone says “Get them before they get us.” And if history has taught us anything, it’s that war is typically brought about when the economies are suffering.

Bro, Russia's new nukes allows it to do whatever the **** it wants now. It may even be able to release the sanctions after attacking more countries than it already has. The days of nuclear weapons will never end. I seriously hope this doesn't entail anything too grim. I feel that this occurring under Trump worsens the problem too...

Edit: what are the odds that Putin actually has that kind of nuke though? It could just be leverage. It doesn't really matter if he has it or not because no one is dumb enough to bother finding out. I personally think he doesn't.

Nobody can really pull up on anybody since it's mutually assured destruction. This particular weapon from russia supposedly cannot be intercepted because it can change it's trajectory(usually with missiles, they know where it's going to land based on the trajectory and so anti-missile systems can intercept and destory them). So Russia supposedly has a leg up but still not a big deal because any act of war is mutually assured destruction. Russia would need to kill the whole U.S in one strike which is never going to happen, because the U.S would retalliate immediately.

Well its not like this is first missile that USA can't shot .There are couple of them but this one is monster the strongest and most advanced nuke in history , no current or future ( 15 - 20 years) missile defense will be able to shot it down. When USA decided to install shield against nukes in Europe Russia didn't decide to do the same and built their own shield but instead they developed nukes capable of piercing (avoiding) that shield .


In the end it doesn't matter the amount of nukes each side has is enough to obliterate each other . Neither side can shot even 5 % of opponent nuclear reserves.

In a war without nukes we'd wash Russia.It really wouldn't be fair. The reason is because we're both modern armies with modern technology. In a war with nukes no one wins.
