That is my problem with TNJ. Naruto does it and even the most harden killer comes to regret their actions. It is unrealistic. It doesn't work that way despite what their past may have been. Some people just want to see the world burn.

This is how I feel The masked man/Obito should have been. Not this rin ranting. After she died and he walked to world as Madara he came to the conclusion that the world was hell. Madara wanted to put it to sleep. Obito should have simply wanted to destory it.

Hey, ppl saying Orochi wont do this, or Madara wont do that.

Zabuza, a hardcore ruthless mercenary, shed tears after Hearing Naruto's words, never thought he would go out the way he did.

Kabuto, I thought this guy was emotionless and cold hearted, turns out, he just wanted someone to appreciate him for who he was, he even shed a few tears when his belief was challenge.

Obito, I never thought since his appearance as Tobi, the guy who gatherd ppl like hidan, Kakuzu, etc, would regret his actions. Even Shikaku had his doubts, and now look at him.

Madara is already a softy at heart, which is why he went insane.

All it takes is for someone to pull the right strings and get that person thinking where they went wrong, and if they arent too stubborn, they would have regrets too. Nobody was born evil, alot of the characters are either just insane, or never had the TNJ from someone like Naruto. They all had ppl who they cared about at one time, and they were probably all killed which is why they turned out the way they are. They werent there to TNJ them so thats why they ended up as "TRUE VILLIANS."

But in the same sens just because a villain has a past that is traumatic doesn't mean that every villain listens to reason. It is not realistic. X-men's En Saba Nur (Apocolypse) He was a slave in egyped watched his family and his kind get enslaved as well as die. Talking to him about his past or saying the right thing (something Professor X is really good at) never swayed him. Magento is the same way. He listens to reason but it doesn't stop him from being a villain.

Just because a villain has a past we can relate to doesn't mean every villain can be talked down. Their past is a reflection of why they are the way they are. It doesn't mean you shouldn't try to talk to them, but it also doesn't mean that every single villain will be moved by words.

Some just have to be defeated. They are no longer that caring person they used to be. The world and the events that occured to them have changed them forever. Talking is great if a villain like Obito or Nagato is who you are fighting. They see reason. But practiaclly Every single villain Naruto has faced has been swayed by his TNJ. That is just not realistic even by manga/comic standards.

Again, not every villain want's to be saved.

Not exactly. Whether they want peace or not, it always depends on how they achieve it. Its true that they both doing it for the good but their actions are the actions of villain. In other words: an evil person.

Pain:
-killed children/babies/women/old people
-destroyed a village on a whim without showing any care for the poor
-was trying to use destructive weapon on the whole world

Obito:
-worked with the most evil person in history and carrier his plan
-killed his family(uchiha) and tried to destroy his home
-trying to take the will of everyone
-responsible for the death of over 40,0000 people

You can see their actions is so treacherous. They still remain actual villains because the plan they're trying to achieve is evil and not good.
