I always thought that it had so much chakra pressure it damaged the eye, kinda like how Kakashi's eye bled

Kamui doesn't make u bleed. So kamui > amaterasu.

Pretty sure I've seen Kakashi's eye bleeding slightly...

Also, you must have noticed that while posing as Madara, Obito didn't even need to have his MS on for Kamui to work for him.
