I was bored to used manga scans :3
For starters everyone knows the Sage of Six Paths had 2 sons on Witch he passed his teachings onto and had hoped these too would continue his legacy and keep peace in the world however just as every human does their views differed and they had different plans for the future and how to lead the world to peace the Eldest Son the inheritor of his eyes whom had mastered his Doujutsu from the Sharingan to his own form of the Spiral Rinnegan with his Vary powerful Chakra and Spiritual energy that he got from his father and he Believed that with Enough Power one can lead the world to peace with Might and Strength that people could admire however the Younger Son who inherited his father's body whom had mastered his own Senjutsu, thanks to his Physical energy, Powerful Life force, and will he got from his father he believed that by teaching with gentle Love and understanding people would lead themselves to peace. Seeing their views and knowing if done properly together they would truly lead the world to peace he readied himself so in his last days he carved 2 Great Stones to help guide his Sons and there future generations down the road to peace and happiness all the while suppressing the monstrous beast trying to escape his ancient weakening body once that task was complete he used a technique that combined the power of creation from his eyes with the power to grant life from his body and split the Monstrous Jubi Into nine tame Biju that he gave a task to one day help his two sons that he so fondly spoke of lead the world into peace. With that he used the last of his chakra to create the moon in which he trapped the empty shell of a body that was once the jubi and cast it to the unreachable distance in the sky and with that done he called his sons and told them of what he had done and how he believed in them and in his dying moments asked his younger son if he would be his Successor and help his brother in leading the world to peace.
Soon after his death the words of his father echoed in the elder sons ears and in a fit of rage, envy, and disgust the elder brother challenged his brother to a dual to decide who truly has the right to be his successor seeing how he had no choice in the matter accepted and after a long and destructive battle that left giant scars on the earth that created great fear in the witnessing Biju the younger son was victorious but spared his brother whom he asked if he will still help in the teaching in the world after fiercely declining the elder brother went his own way taking his half of the sages stone with him after several hundred years and many passing generations the two brothers each passed on their abilities to their sons whom separated into Six clans that each holds a part of the sages power the three clans that made up the Elders sons blood line were the Uchiha, Hyuuga, and a currently unknown clan. And the three clans that made up of the younger sons Blood line was the Uzimaki, Senju, and Jūgo's Clan though each of the 6 clans inherited a piece of the Sage of Six Paths power. The first being the Uchiha who inherited the sharingan that had the power to see into the hearts of biju, along with all of the other power in which we know about, the second was the Hyuuga who inherited the Byakugan that has the power to see the chakra network, in 360 degrees in long distances, and in X-Ray, the third clan hasn't been reviled or it hasn't show hints of its connection so it can be identified, the fourth clan is the Uzimaki who inherited the younger sons long and powerful life force and chakra reserves along with the level of chakra and ability to perfectly balance the Natures chakra and perfect sage mode, the fifth clan is the Senju clan who inherited the younger sons will and control over physical energy allowing him to create and control life allowing them to bring things touched by their chakra to life and under there care (I.E. Harishima's Wood style and Biju Control for both Wood and biju are living creatures) the sixth clan Jūgo's Clan inherited the power to freely control natures energy so it can exit and enter the body freely and they can communicate with all of nature's creatures witch allowed them to help found the three great sage sites Mount Myōboku, Ryūchi Cave, and Shikkotsu Forest.
Though six clans inherited the sages power only the direct two clans with the clearest ties with the Sage of Six Paths Only two those 2 inherited the two great sage's stone tablets. The clan that came to own the elder sons tablet was the Uchiha clan and the clan that came to own the younger sons tablet was the Uzumaki clan. The two stones hold great secrets and great power the first of these is the Elder sons stone and it can be found in Narkia Shrine in the Uchiha secret meeting place upon it information and a story is inscribed that can only be read by those who have activated there Sharingan information the includes how their eyes can see into the hearts of the Biju so they can be better understood, how by coming to understand and conquering their Emotions (I.E. getting over the loss of a loved one or reaching enlightenment by meditation) will grant them better eyes however the power can only be sustained if they are willing to share their power with their brother once he has also reached saw the world in the same light, but the only way to obtain ones true potential and the true eyes of the sage is if one can become one with nature and see it in its light (I.E. Use Senjutsu or obtain the powers of someone of the younger sons bloodline) also on the stone is recorded the Sage of Six Paths story as well as a secret that can't be read even with the sages eyes and can only be read when unified with its twin. It should be noted that Tobi claims the story of the brother dual is recorded there however it is unknown if that is true and whether or not if the elder son put it there.
The other stone is likely lost or hidden in the destroyed hidden village of the Whirlpool in the land of Eddies (I think it was really destroyed for the purpose of finding the stone not out of fear of the Uzumaki clan) on it Equally secretive and powerful information is contained to unlock its secrets though one must place there chakra into it to show themselves to be sage capable and worthy of it to revel its message upon it describes how to become a sage one must become 1 with nature once that is done by entering sage mode and using the ability to see natures energy they can read about how to seal a Biju into a Jinchuriki and how the only way to reach ones true potential and get the true body of the sage is but synching hearts with the biju and combining and balancing Senjutsu with The Biju's power in your body. Also written on the stone is the location and purpose of the sages six treasures witch are the Bashōsen ("Banana Palm Fan"), Benihisago, ("Crimson Gourd"), Kohaku no Jōhei ("Amber Purifying Pot"), Kōkinjō ("Golden Canopy Rope"), Shichiseiken ("Seven Star Sword"), and that War Fan and Scythe of Madara/Tobi's and also like its twin it will contain the Sage of Six Paths story and the other part of the last secret that can only be read in the presents of its twin.
When the whirlpool was attacked it was probably caused by Madara or Tobi for the
reason of finding the other stone though because it is unknown when the attack happened depend because if the 6 treasures were there they could have been stolen at that time. And as far as the last secret it may be a prophecy or something that needs a fully awakened member of both half's and the six treasures to be accomplished maybe the resealing of the jubi?
