kishi created madara from Jum sum (枕神) god mythology.Jum sum is the Chinese god of sleep ,also of dreams. Originating sometime in the 1st century BC and almost a forgotten deity.Sleep & dream resemble Madara's infinity tsukuyomi plan. keep your minds i'am not talking about itachi's tsukuyomi it based on another japanese myth(tsukuyomi the moon god).

The Treasured Tools are based on tools from the Chinese classic "Journey to the West". In this story; there are two demon king brothers, known as the Great King Kinkaku (金角大王, Kinkaku-daiō) and the Great King Ginkaku (銀角大王, Ginkaku-daiō), who live in the Lotus Cave (蓮華洞, Rengedō) on Mt Heichō (平頂山, Heichōzan). They possess five treasured tools, called the Amber Purifying Pot (琥珀の浄瓶, Kohaku no Jōhei), the Seven Star Sword (七星剣, Shichiseiken), the Banana Palm Fan (芭蕉扇, Bashōsen) the Golden Canopy Rope (幌金縄, Kōkinjō), and the Crimson Gourd (紅葫蘆, Benihisago). Amongst these, the pot and the gourd are capable of sucking in their opponents and melting them, once they are trapped within

Kakashi" is Japanese for "scarecrow" (案山子) and "Hatake" means "farmland/field" (畑), so his name means "scarecrow in the farmland" (畑・案山子). This is very fitting since many ninja in actual history (and ninja villages) posed as farmers. Also, in episode 101, he replaced himself with a scarecrow when Sakura was following him.

The name 'Sakumo' is possibly derived from the word "sakumotsu" (作物), meaning "agricultural produce" or "crops". This would tie into the name of his son, Kakashi (案山子), which means "scarecrow", and their family name, Hatake (畑), which means "farmland"

Izuna (飯綱) is the name of a fox spirit in Japan and of a mountain. The latter is usually called Mount Iizuna, though. Iizuna, written with the same kanji, is also the Japanese name for the least weasel
