Wood Release, or Mokuton , techniques combine Earth Release and Water Release to produce wood. Wood Release techniques can be produced from any source of earth or
water and even the user's body , as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life. Wood techniques also appear
to be extremely resistant to bijū chakra and can even, to some extent, surpress it. Wood Release is commonly affiliated with the
Snake hand-seal. Hashirama Senju was the original user of this ability, evidenced by the fact that none of his relatives have been
shown capable of using Wood Release. His ability to use these techniques was one of the reasons for him being given the title of the First Hokage, and with Wood Release Secret Technique: Nativity of a World of Trees he was able to grow the trees that
served as the literal foundation of
Konohagakure.

Wood release which is known as Moukuton is one of the rarest kekkei genkai shown in the anime used only by a sizeable amount of characters. From the anime's POV it was considered extremely powerful and it was one of the criteria used to judge Hashirama Senju, the original user as the God of Shinobi. Hashirama was the only one in the series who had the KG naturally, others gained it through the infusion of his cells into their bodies though only Madara could use it on par with the Senju, others can only use it on a lesser level. Created by mixing one's earth and water chakra to create a form of life via one's chakra, a typical usage is creating trees, plants and constructs made of wood for offensive, defensive and supplementary uses. From the anime, we can see its usually depicted with a brown hue showing its extreme closeness to earth. Hashirama and others cab create this constructs and plant life from either the ground, their bodies or from already existing wood on the battlefield. It has been shown that Moukuton is strong against all tailed beasts chakra and is used as a medium to restrict and over power them during their rampages. Its highly versatile having a great arsenal like Sand also with carefully constructed technique list. Although my character, Tobi Zetsu gains a lesser form of the ability but even that counts greatly. That's all

Right, to start off, I would like you to add first Water chakra in one hand and Earth chakra in the other. Put them together forming the snake handseal. Once so, mix the two, and manipulate the chakra throughout your body and into the ground - See if you can make a twig or similiar come out. =}

It was easier to think of both natures to be manipulated and created before making the technique first. Beginning by imagining an ocean of water, a deep blue sea with a vast amount of water which creates an avenue for me to manipulate my chakra from my pool and transform it into a fluid state changing properties to that of water in one hand. Then on the other hand, I decide to make the chakra more sturdier and coarse as per the properties of earth after I control both natures at once after making the snake hand seal which finally conjoins the properties of both turning it to one, a source of life created within the ground and reveals it self as a small flowering plant, almost as green as a grassy plain.

You can perform wood technique's whenever you want, on the ground, in the sky it doesn't matter you can always perform wood technique's, and since you got DNA like me then you would be able to let wooden things erupt from your body, like when you perform a A-Ranked wood technique, you could easily say that you let the wood erupt from your arm/head/leg etc.

Anyway, wood is extremely weak against lightning, you can't let lightning travel trough wood since it would pierce trough it as you mentioned before, however if wood get's in contact with fire, the wood will continue as a wooden thing covered with fire, let's say that an S-Ranked technique wood technique get's in touch with a B-Ranked fire technique, the wood would continue towards the one you are aiming it on, but the wood wouldn't be able to travel from a short range distance to long range, since it would collapse in ashes, it could be possible if it was from short range to mid range.

Alright now post the technique's you are able to learn, because I'm not sure what the new variant of white zetsu can perform.
