That doesnt make sense....
Of course it does. Haki is stated to be an armor around you, it's a force that surrounds your body or an object. When you coat a bullet, or an arrow, or your own body with the invisible variant, you're basically just surrounding it with Haki. We saw with the Admirals that it's possible to project your Haki ahead of your body. Law could have simply projected his Haki ahead of himself and around his arm, the same way it's around an arrow or bullet or fist when it's the invisible type.

Well, pre-skip the three Admirals were able to project their Haki ahead of them. It's possible that Law also projected his Haki ahead of his body and somehow focused it around his arm, allowing him to cut Trebol.
Yeah... notice they were projected from their bodies???

Laws arm isn't attached and isn't in contact with his body

And Law could have projected his Haki from his body and have it centered around his arm.
Haki isn't a projectile...

Haki can be imbued unto projectiles while a user is in contact with them e.g. arrows

An arm that isn't in contact with the body cannot be be projected unto, it's no longer in contact with Laws body

Eh, not really. The Admirals showed that you can create a ¨field¨ of Haki of sorts by projecting it ahead of you, which is what made their shield. Law could have done the same thing, with the arm being inside of the perimeter of the ¨field¨ of Haki.

Uhm... what makes you think that was a field? Whitebeards shockwave simply dispersed when it hit the Admirals' palms

Nice assumption.
Manga facts are not assumptions, there are no examples that are clear cut, nowhere does anyone imbue someone else in Haki or something they don't come into contact with

No idea, but all we see is the shockwave hitting that weirdly strong steel and then pushing through, next thing you know it's been dispersed and there is no visible representation of what happened, so we can't assume it's a field
Actually, watching the scene in the anime, the Quake was visibly dispersed before it touched the Execution platform. Seeing as the admirals were on it, they had to have projected their Haki ahead of themselves, meaning it existed as a barrier or field long enough to disperse the Quake.

Coating an arrow, sword, or a bamboo in vergo's example requires contact in order to do it but in this case Law's hand isnt his anymore, is just a lying object on the floor that was used by law the same way stones were used in smokers case back in PH, the admirals case is completely different, they could make a shield that would be able to block the shockwave but we never know if the quake veered off before touching the hand of the admirals or was just before touching the armor the admirals created around they're body, u realize that haki is will and making a haki barrier and being able to coat with haki something without touching are completely different, the best way would be that the sword was too close to law and he was able to make contact with it otherwise putting ur will beforehand into and severed arm makes a shitty sense.

Preeetty sure they stood infront of the platform

The only people on the platform were Ace, Garp, Sengoku at the time

Not a single Admiral touched the platform during the whole war

Akainu stomps.

Haki does work on Akainu if it didn't WB wouldn't have busted his guts open with his tremor blows. Haki works on Trebol as well Luffy just missed his skinny body.
