I agree, things like this occur so we turn a blind eye on the real comings and goings of the Gov. The guy looks Spanish, but has a white last name....so suddenly it's the white vs. the blacks all over again lol. Why couldn't he have been named Garcia, none of this would have even happened

Isn't making a thread like this adding to the said "distraction" And that "sheep" analogy is tiresome. So if you're not a sheep, what are you then? A wolf? Well most wolves are social animals and follow a pack under an alpha? So using that analogy you're bound to follow something.

The media does things to get people to watch on their proprietary outlets. So that they can sell the stuff they advertise. The more ratings, the better the sponsors. The better the sponsors, the more money is made. And some of these large corporations even own the media outlets. Why, so they can push their products. I don't think its has anything about government control or a secret society overrulling all. But yes because the media has influence, so it can be and is used as a tool. But the media can't be used if there's nobody to watch.

The media simply reports what they feel aligns with their underlying agenda; in this day and age, there truly no such thing as "unbiased and objective" news anymore. It's business and politics, people. And I'm not skeptical; just realistic. That's the real perspective.

Whether it's a video like this or a report on CNN, large and small, the whole purpose of any form of media/news outlet should be to provide information. Unfortunately, looking back at history, opinions of individual newscasters, rhetorical objectives and political leanings and goals have twisted what should have been an objective and informative field into a polarizing and opinionated one (I'm looking at you, Fox and MSNBC)

Many will find it skewed, etc. but that's what gets the viewers. Even less well known and smaller news providers, even if they cover things that are inherently true (I am not denying the factual basis of what the video is providing); is merely just trying to do what he's warning against; dividing everyone.

^Lazy revolutionist

So you respond to one part of my post and avoid the rest. Post a video without summarizing in your words. And when people respond without watching, you say "don't post unless you watch the vid" wich only furthers my reasoning of using media as a tool of influence.

So what, call me "blind slave." Do what you must to make yourself look more important and down play me. But since you're all knowing, what are we being distracted from? What are the hot topics you think we should be discussing? And how come you're not making threads about those topics if they are so important?

After going through the whole "anti-government phase", I came to realize the best truth you can obtain is one you form on your own. Never believe solely in anything, yet be opened-minded to everything (If that makes sense to you lol) .

PS: I know your intentions are good but at times you tend to give off a arrogant vibe about the things you discuss.

Having worked with many police and law enforcement in the military - I can say that the fundamental problem with the argument being set forth in the video is that it assumes the existence of "Agent Smith."

I understand, more than most who wear the uniform, exactly how powerful of a factor the "Agent Smith" factor is. And it was a relatively big shock to me when I went into the military and found the entire system as ... disjointed, poorly organized, and inefficient as it was.

Most cases of police brutality come down to a lack of training, complacency, and the fact that people are people. You put an officer in uniform and have him deal with people who act like (for lack of a better term) animals all the time - he's eventually going to forget that he's dealing with people if you don't rotate him into another position for a while.

But there is a bit of truth in all of this, and this guy has been saying it for years:

Amen although trayvons death was sad people need to realize its not about race its about crime and whether Zimmerman was guilty of not killing in self defence not a racist.

Media uses murder as a tool. They think in their minds that it's okay because they aren't the ones committing the crime. Because exploiting peoples deaths is okay right?

*Note I think Zimmerman should have gotten manslaughter but the prosecuter sucked. It was never a race thing even though the media tried to make it that way. It was about whether it's right to bring a gun to a fist fight.

Worst media coverage on a case ever. Is it not racism when black people demand special attention or demand that Zimmerman then be charged even more? Racism works two ways. The media really tried to make this a race issue by making it seem like it was about a white man killing a black kid. When it's nothing more than a self defense case. Was it or was it not self defense, simple. The real racism here is the growing trend of the use of the term hate crime by black people to garner special attention. I actually was less sympathetic to Martin because of the media coverage.

As an Asian American, I would say real racism isn't directed toward black people. In a majority of the areas I've lived in, the racism is directed toward Asian Americans. Most Asian American can confirm this. Indians, Chinese, Japanese, etc. No one is fighting for our rights.
