Travelling - Dreaming of what lies beyond the horizon!

I love travelling, although I've never done it in the actual meaning of it, but I still love the idea of it and I've always wanted to go to distant places and see the world and it's cultures! I think it's one of the most greatest things in this life and will give you totally new perspective on life.

I'd like this thread to be a discussion about travelling; the experiences, dreams, pictures, how to get to places and all that it entails. I'm from Finland and personally I'd like to go interrailing around Europe to see Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona etc all in one trip! Also I'd like to go to Miami and New York. But the ultimate dream would be an around the world trip going to Asia, South-America, Africa etc..!

So where have you been, where would you like to go and how and when would you do it? Tips for traveling are appreciated such as the cheapest ways to travel to far off places.

I love traveling too! I've been to Taiwan, Beijing, HK, Tokyo, Philippines, and traveled a bit within the U.S. (NY, WA, TN, OR, MA, Washington DC...)

You really notice the little differences between each place as well as the big ones. No wonder they say traveling broadens the mind.

Haha I think I liked Beijing the best~ It let me get in touch with my roots lol. I just loved the sights and smells ><

Duuuude Tokyo was amazingggg wease: <---that was my face the wholeee time! I was so-- amazed lmao. Everyone in Japan is so hip and stylish! Even the elderly and the very young! I was in awe at even the littlest things like the vending machines~ And everything is so clean and orderly.

but everything there is very expensive! a med coke there is almost Y300!

Actually, Japan is right now offering free tickets to visit because tourism is so low due to the nuclear incident! you just fill out this application saying why you wanna visit, then afterwards, fill out a report saying what you did and basically say nice stuff about it! You should check it out!

Hm, I'd like to see more of europe next! ^^

Oh really? Meaning what exactly is free? I really doubt they would provide the flights. Do you have a link?

my mom and dad traveled a lot when they had time, and I am planing to continue once Im finished at the Uni
