Well I really don't have a definitive opinion about transgenders and I honestly don't know if this is mental, right, wrong or if it will send them to hell but I do agree with the first part of your statement.

Children going through this should absolutely be gated!

You do bring up a fair point and one I agree with. I do not know if this is a mental disorder or if it's right in terms of God, if there is one, or what have you. All I know is that life is very hard and if you're happy and it doesn't hurt anyone, go do it and be you, but children definitely need to be age gated with these massive life altering decisions. After the age gate is passed, go do you. Happiness is what matters in the end.

He also reported on a new study showing that the suicide rate among transgendered people who had reassignment surgery is 20 times higher than the suicide rate among non-transgender people. Dr. McHugh further noted studies from Vanderbilt University and London’s Portman Clinic of children who had expressed transgender feelings but for whom, over time, 70%-80% “spontaneously lost those feelings.”

She seems happy with the way she is, so good for her. I hope she's sure about it though, and doesn't come to regret any of the decisions. I personally would rather any children of my own wait longer before we make a transition like this so that they can be absolutely sure it's what they want and who they are, but all to her if she's happy.

I think that a child (11 y/o) doesn't have the experience or knowledge to make a decision like this.

But keep in mind that they actual surgical transition can't happen for this individual for years.
