A transsexual has never subjugated a whole group of people into slavery, for one. Secondly, if you're offended, it's genuinely your problem in this case, and you should work at not getting offended by it.

Double standards are weak. In a way transexuals have submitted normal people to a form of mental slavery where any words against their agenda make you a pariah.

It's not a double standard if its a faulty comparison in the first place. These people are in conflict with themselves their whole lives, and you have the audacity to complain about some bullshit "mental slavery" that they cause you. You sound like a typical Fox News-watching conservative.

Exactly. We should focus on fixing the insane instead of forcing normal people to adapt to their insanity. As for your double standard... You don't have to have had surgery to reap the benefits. As for blaze then how does offense justify the removal of a flag, but not of people from your bathroom?

Because people are not inanimate objects; a clear distinction anyone can make.

Psuedo-treatments alone like psychotherapy have been proven to be detrimental to people with GD unless that person wants to keep their ***. In most cases, they do not. This is because things like GD are ingrained in a person's genetical makeup in the same way that an attraction to someone is. You simply can't fix who someone is, and that's why "therapy" for gay people does not work, as well.

Being offended by trans people is the same as being offended by someone who is black or gay. It only shows your ignorance and that you need to be more accepting. You're comparing someone's identity to a flag that stands for protecting a country whose sole economy was based on the exploitation of black people. That's the definition of a faulty comparison.

You are stating certain medical opinions as if they are fact. We haven't found the root of attraction and can't rule out life experience as a factor in sexual attraction. As for " being offended by trans people" i'm not going to treat them like the sec they think they are. Just as the scizo on the corner, i'm going to treat them as someone who lives a delusional reality. Ruling out treatment for GD is ridiculous. Just pacifying them isn't an answer. I'm not suggesting therapy, i'm suggesting a greater level of research in places like mental wards. As for comparing it to black and gay, the difference is it literally is a choice you make. You have to purposely pass yourself off as something you weren't born as. As for " exploiting" a race, the north made great profit off southern slavery, even going so far as to restrict southern trade with other countries. ****ing hypocrisy

You're not understanding. Reassignment surgery is the treatment for gender dysphoria. There are other treatments, but surgery is the most successful and benefitting treatment as 80-90% of people who undergo such treatments are happier afterwards. This is outlined in the Journal of Transgenderism, which is a medical journal frequently cited. I would link you the specific page, but I'm on my phone. An easy way would be to look on the GD page of Wikipedia and look at the references.

Anyways, you're illogically comparing it to mental disorders such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, which you simply cannot do. GD is strictly biological in the sense that the causes lie in brain structure and hormones. For example, males and females have different brain structures. A male with GD has portions of his brain structure in common with a normal female, and it is the same for women with GD and males. Again I would link you to the exact study, but it is best to look at the references on Wikipedia.

What you're suggesting is either medication, which in most cases does not cure GD, or rewiring someone's brain structure, which is impossible. Also, it isn't as simple as a choice. People without GD do not have a natural predispositon to the opposite gender. You have to understand that they naturally feel like the other gender in the same way that we feel like we're in the right gender. We can't choose to want to be the other gender because it wouldn't feel natural to us. If you can't wrap your head around that concept, then you're being willfully ignorant because the entire medical community has accepted these notions.

Unless you want to make a separate thread about the confederate flag, then I'd stop because your comparison already failed, and there's nothing else to be said.

Pretty sure you're thinking of transsexual. And to answer your question, because it doesn't harm them or pose harm for those around them. There's no need to treat this or fix this. If someone wants to transition from one *** to another, it isn't our place to force them to reconsider and not want it anymore.

Are you sure about that? I mean people will soon(if not already) start to look for that girl in boy's body in their kids if transgender issue becomes the new 'support homos' stuff- the internet and real life SJW(radical sjws who only do it to look good/get fame etc) are gonna be on the kids/ teens with how wanting a doll or a robot as a boy and girl respectively means you are transgender. If you look at most of teens/young adults these days anyways a lot of times people just wanna point and say 'but that's sexist!' etc without even properly understanding what it means. Partly reason being they are just told that being x-ist is bad instead of 'you do not judge a person based on such things'. I am not saying supporting transgender is bad but most people in two groups just says support it instead of actually admitting(or just saying) that they have a mental illness and you should be supportive to them like you'd be to a depressed or schizophrenic person or some one with cancer etc- giving any sort of explanation, you'd be right to if you said that they are so bigoted that they refuse to listen but that's just society in general. I am not saying they(transgenders) hurt people or supporting them does, I just think this whole moment is gonna backfire later(due to lack of proper understanding in target people) since it's based off creating a social construct where accepting transgender is the new socially acceptable. Just saying.

The Confederate Flag is a symbol of the darkest period in America; of racism, slavery and segregation. Transsexuals are not. Offense from the flag is justified, offense from transsexuals is whining.
