Transformation

In the first part of Naruto , Sasuke Sakura and Naruto were trying to find out what is under Kakashi's mask why didn't they transformed in Kakashi and then take the mask down ?

cuz they wouldnt know whats under the mask therefore their imagination would fill up their transformation's gap
