"I would act as if the butterflies, and sinking into the ground were seperate techniques, so it makes it a bit harder to distinguish an illusion. In terms of range, probably during hand to hand combat, so I van get the tag on as soon as possible"
Carl was just as Dean remembered him. Together, they had finished Carl's first element, Lightning. Hopefully, he became better in that >.> They were almost done with Genjutsu, it was a short training but one of the most complex ones. Dean hoped that Carl understood everything that he was being taught.
"Alright, Carl. I believe you understand the technique, so here it is."
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user makes one handseal, placing the opponent in a genjutsu. The user then tosses a large number of explosive tags at the opponent. To the opponent, it looks as if they are countless butterflies. The opponent then believes they are sinking into the ground, in reality making them immobilized; this allows the user to place one final exploding tag on their forehead before detonating all the tags simultaneously.
"Okay, next one! This Genjutsu is quite fast and is one of the Genjutsu that was shown in the manga to affect more than one person. So, it starts off by forming a single hand seal, which already places the opponent under a Genjutsu. In the illusion, the opponent will see feathers fall from the sky, which makes them drowsy as the turn goes. If they don't break the Genjutsu, after one full turn, the opponent will be put to sleep. So that basically leaves the opponent open for anything, and ends the fight. Use it wisely, and use it so that the opponent has a difficult time to counter the Genjutsu, to make it a full turn. The next turn, the opponent will have fallen a sleep, and gives you the victory. Let's see what you can tell me about it."
Dean forms a single hand seal and places Carl in the Genjutsu.
Brighr white feathers ellegantly twirl from the sky, swaying back and fourth with the utmost grace, as if they fell from a prideful swan. Looking at the beautiful display, Carl's eyes began to feel heavy, a tired sensation enveloped him making him feel extremely drowsy. Already knowing what the issue was, he hardened his skin once again, creating rocks that would protrude from his skin to act as armor. The illusion is dispelled, and he lowers his head so he's facing Dean directly.
Rank: S
Type: Offense/Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 40 (-15 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.
"The illusion itself is a dead giveaway. Random feathers begin to fall from the sky with no source in sight is a clear red flag. Also, the drowsy feeling, for it to take place when the feathers appear can further push that inferrence. Some good things are that it can be used as a distraction at best, but if it succeeds, they're put to sleep for good. I'd use it as a distraction, and take the opportunity to surprise 'em"
Carl was getting better at discerning the Genjutsu. Dean was happy, as Genjutsu was quite complex, but Carl got it. They were almost done with it, and Dean would put Carl through a test of sorts perhaps. Either way, Dean wasted no time and went on ahead.
"That's alright, Carl. Here you go."
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes one handseal, placing all the targets in the area under an illusion where feathers appear to fall from the sky. This slowly puts the opponents to sleep after one turn.
"Now, for the next one. This technique starts off by forming a single hand seal and inducing the opponent in a Genjutsu. Within this Genjutsu, the opponent's whole world would go dark, instantly. Which means, when you initiate the Genjutsu, it takes effect. Thing is, it only affects your eye sight. This means all your other senses are still in play, which could save your life, if you are smart. Let's see what you can do about it."
Once Dean had said this, he forms a single hand seal and places Carl in the Genjutsu.
What once was a flurry of bright colors, they becane drenched in total and utter darkness. It was as if his sight was stripped from him in mere moments, not even able to see the faintest outline of his hand. Though his sight was lost, his other senses remained intact, hell, maybe even a little more acute than before. Standing motionless, his chakra is surged into the ground to cause a pillar of sharp Earth to pierce his left leg, hitting a minor tendon. With the sharp pain, his sight returned, his pants were a little wet, but he was out of the illusion's grasp.
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to skew the target. The rock pillars will even pass through obstacles to reach their target if these are less dense. The pillars/spikes can be done in any earthen surface, including other earth techniques of the user.
"It makes everything go black, not fun. Not only not fun, but it leaves the other senses intact, fishy. Those would be two disadvantages, short and sweet. A suitable place to use this would be in close range, steal their sight and deliver a blow, easy."
That was it, they were actually done. Dean smiled as he threw the last scroll towards Carl. He had just finished one of the most complex of trainings, and it would really help him in future battles he was going to have. Not against Dean though, because he was a Nekura
"Alright Carl, here you go. Seems like this is your second training I complete. We'll see again, I just know it."
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes one handseal, causing the opponent to believe they have been trapped in a world of infinite darkness, where their sense of sight is useless. It is capable of affecting multiple targets within range. However, it does not negate their other senses.
