(Raiton: Raikiri) - Lightning Release: Lightning Blade​

Perform the technique: Yusei performing the needed hand seals Ox → Rabbit → Monkey concentrates his lightning chakra and condenses it even further then he would a normal chidori, with the effect being a more concentrated condensed chidori that is much stronger in power.

Creative uses/strengths: A more advanced and focused version of chidori.Strong enough to actually split lightning.As you stated this is very versatile because its not just a 1 hit KO like most of the time we see it in the anime.It can be combined with taijutsu to deadly affect.

Drawbacks/counters: Just like a normal chidori it remains in the users hand. Making it very limited in range so the user has to get close to the opponent.Not only that but something as simple as an earth tremor could stop the attack because most uses of raikiri require some type of movement to pull off.

(Raiton: Raikiri Nibai Raikou Jishin) – Lightning Release: Lightning Blade Double Lightning Quake​

Perform the technique: Yusei focuses Chakra in his right hand and vibrates the chakra changing it to that of Raiton chakra. After condensing the chakra in his hand,Yusei forms a raikiri which he then splits into 2 holding a raikiri in each hand I believe A rank

Creative uses/strengths: As you said its situation.It can do everything the normal raikir can.However I find this more versatile because it effectively turns both your hands into weapon and makes it harder to counter tai compared to the single version because the user could coordinate attack to you weak side being the side that you dont have the jutsu active.Something else to not is that you have 2 attacks able to counter 2 techs 1 tech on this side and 1 on the other.

Drawbacks/counters: An obvious drawback is the power is split between the 2 hands.In doing so the the technique not only loses power compared to a one hand strike but it also restrict the user.It restrict use of what would be their free hand if using the single version who with could use a sword as you mentioned or even throw shuriken or a paperbomb.

(Raiton: Kirin) - Lightning Release: Kirin​

Perform the technique: His sensei having already set up the clouds , Yusei created a chidori which he used to take control of all the lightning in the clouds and direct it downwards at the opponent in the blink of an eye.

Creative uses/strengths: I have been wanting to learn this forever.Well in terms of strength its the strongest it can only be avoided (if completely preformed) by space time techniques or absolute defenses like sussano. However the reason behind its strength is more so about its speed rather then overall power.Being Natural lightning chakra doesn't slow it down as it strikes in the blink of an eye. Making it so that if fully preformed only something that can bend space and time like kumai can dodge it and although sussano can block it Im curious if the user has to have it active beforehand im doubting if sussano can be formed in the blink of an eye.

Drawbacks/counters: Obvious drawbacks are that you essentially need 3 moves to pull this off One being a fire jutsu to heat up the sky and fill it with storm clouds (although this doesn't need to be done in the same move) Move 2 being forming a chidori and move 3 being using the chidori to take control of the lightning in the storm clouds.(which take 2 urns of the allowed 2 per turn)Another drawback is as you said the opponent tricking the user and preforming karing using the clouds set up for themselves.(Also I see alot of people discuss Since the user has to preform chidori first they have time to prefrom a technique is this valid?)

Description: The user will cover his hands in with lightning, essentially performing a (Raiton: Chidori) Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds in each hand. Clapping his hands together, the user can unleash that massive amount of lightning chakra into the form of a powerful Thunderbolt directed at the user. The technique is best used if the user has a height advantage in relation to the target. The Thunderbolt is strong enough to leave a giant crater and cannot be used while being in Short-range of the target, at the risk of being hit also.

Another Chidori based technique, the user mid-air will perform the chidori and release the lightning chakra from the chidori into a very large thunderbolt which is shot at the opponent, it moves at amazing pace and has great attack potency. Note this technique can only be used if your opponent is in a mid-long range for the explosion it leaves off, if you are caught in it, it will actually hurt you as well. The bolts can pierce through anything and shock the opponent terribly. Its a projectile based attack after you send the thunderbolt. Its a great jutsu to use if your stuck in mid-air and you can send an attack because being mid-air always leaves you vulnerable. Its very fast to perform almost instantly since no hand seals are required and when the bolt rains down it moves rather quick. It does give off a large light though and because you make the chidori first you can hear the chirping sounds and anticipate it.

Description: After performing the following handseals Ram → Horse → Snake → Tiger the user will release a massive amount of lighting chakra which he uses to create a blinding light that appears to emanate from all over the users body. The light can blind any enemy that sees it but its main ability is that, through skill and precise chakra control and timing, the user can use it as a cover to put the enemy into a genjutsu by using the light as a decoy, preventing the enemy from noticing the genjutsu was placed.
Note: Can follow with any Genjutsu the user knows up to A-Rank but needs to have mastered Genjutsu. The user will need to effectively spend two moves, performing both the Lightning Illusion and the Genjutsu; the first only serves as a cover to place the second unnoticed
Note: Can only be used once every three turns

After doing the hand seals the opponent will generate a blinding light from their body. The light can easily blind the opponent obscuring the opponents vision, this is best to use against an Uchia, Byakugan users can see through it easy, I would also say its good to use against a Rinnegan user. The performance is quite slow but the light is generated fast. Its a very simple technique, and its meant for combo making. You can anticipate that the opponent will try to use an attack on you. When the user does use this jutsu, they will not be able to even look at the user for the duration. Notes are that the longer you keep generating your chakra the longer the light stays but you must keep focus and can not be able to use another technique. Its great to use with an ally or clone who is right behind you, not worrying about the light.

Descripton: The user will channel lightning chakra into his hand, covering it with a massive chidori. The user will then point his palm forwards, unleashing that chakra, creating a massive 120º blast of lightning that spreads from his hand, outwards and forward towards the enemy.

Another chidori technique, very fast to perform and easy. The user after making the chidori will spread from the users palm to cover a large area in front of them and cover a wide range up to 120º blast making evasion tough so trying to move to the side will not work well. Its a fast moving technique and can cut through many attacks as well as shock the opponent badly while slicing them. Its great to use to push an opponent back but a huge disadvantage is it only goes mid range so evading it by simply moving back is the more simplest of methods. After you send the lightning bolts from your hands it becomes a projectile based attack, its great to use for combos for flanking a fire technique trying to make sure the opponent does not see it. As any other chidori technique similar it will give off a 1000 bird chirping sound if done alone.

(Raiton: Chidori Jinrai) – Lightning Release: 1000 birds ThunderClap​

Perform the technique: Yusei focuses his raiton chakra and covers his hands in lightning, creating a focused chidori in each hand. Yusei then claps his hands together, unleashing the massive amount of lightning chakra from the two chidori in each hand in the form of an incredibly powerful Thunderbolt.

Creative uses/strengths: In terms of creativity , I find myself drifting to the aftereffect of the jutsu whihc is the ability of leaving a crater.Although im not certain how big a crater im assuming its one of large size to the rank of the jutsu being S-rank.That being said a creative use could be taking advantage of that crater by somehow having a clone underneath the earth to dig out and attack and ect or even something as simple as flooding it with water.In terms of normal advantages the biggest would have to be its raw power S-rank lightning is nothing to take lightly as you stated it can virtually pierce through anything.Not only that but the technique itself is incredibly fast even by lightning jutsu standards.

Drawbacks/counters: An obvious drawback is the fact that the use can be caught in the explosion , restricting the user having at-least be Mid-range away from the target.Another drawback is the tech is very flashy , the user can easily hear the original chidoris being created and can easily see the light the technique emits.A simple but effect method of countering this jutsu is just staying close range , by doing so you make it so you have the opponent fear using it because of getting stuck in the explosion as well.

(Raigen Raikochu) – Lightning Illusion Flash of Lightning Pillar​

Perform the technique: Yusei performs a sequence of hand-seals Ram → Horse → Snake → Tiger and then releases a massive amount of lighting chakra that he uses to create a blinding light that appears to emanate from his entire being. The light can blind any enemy that sees it but its main ability is that, through skill and precise chakra control and timing,

Creative uses/strengths:A simple technique mean to blind the opponent and act as a decoy method in order to place a genjutsu on the target unnoticed.unnoticed. Im not so much of a genjutsu fanatic so I will focus on the basic effect which is blinding the target.This in itself is incredible useful especially against opponents who rely on their eyes or doujutsu.What I like about this tech more then anything is its just a perfect decoy method and not just for gen but for anything I can imagine using this teh while having a clone out on the file that uses the nin that bends light to become invisible sneaking behind the enemy.An incredibly useful technique imo.

Drawbacks/counters: Drawbacks would be the speed in which it is preformed since it requires a pesky 4 hand-seals to preform it gives the target enough time to know and brace for the unknown.Although Im going to be a Lightning specialist so the whole hand-seal is restriction does not matter that much since I can use it with a single handseal.I find the fact that the user needs to master gen to be able to preform one after the use of this jutsu a drawback since I currently do not have such a feat , that and the fact that you cant use any techniques while generating the chakra for the jutsu.

He then points his palm forward, releasing the chidori in the form of a massive 120º blast of lightning that spreads from his hand, outwards and forward towards the enemy.

Creative uses/strengths: Its release from more then one angle and as such is a lot more versatile.Because of its wide range it restricts the opponent in terms of evasion through a jutsu that allows movement. Making it so that the target cant simply move from side to side to evade but instead would have to move backwards.That and I find that the size of the jutsu is so long that it can affects flying summon because of how far into the sky it can go.So it also allows a quick counter to a falling attacking from the sky like the dropping lid.

Drawbacks/counters: Despite its overwhelming size the attack can only reach up to Midrange.So something as simple as using a jutsu that can blow the user backwards can easily counter a jutsu like this despite its power.That and like any other chidori variation it releases the all to obvious chirping , not that it matters much because a technique of this magnitude is definitely not the sneaky or surprise type.

Description: This technique requires the user to firstly create a shadow clone. Then, each of them will activate the Lightning Cutter on opposite hands to one another. Connecting the two techniques together, forming a chain of sorts, they are then able to use the resulting beam to slice through objects with great ease.
Note: Must first have a shadow clone in the field.

So, with this technique you must start with a Shadow Clone (if you haven't learned it yet, use mine and wait to use this technique until you've learned the Shadow Clone technique). Then, both you and the clone will use Raikiri before touching hands together. As you touch hands, allow your lightning chakra to connect with the clone's chakra, creating a chain of lightning. As in the first technique, this only costs the jutsu count of this jutsu and the Shadow Clone; using Raikiri to form the chain doesn't count as a separate technique. From there, the two of you can get up to mid-range away from each other, using the chain of lightning like a clothesline to tear through people as you move around, creating a "danger zone" in the form of a direct line between the two of you.

Description:The user starts off by dashing at his opponent with a Chidori in his hand. As they strikes his opponent, they uses shape manipulation to extend the Chidori into a lightning spear that impales and hurtles the opponent into the air. The user then increases the potency of the lightning, generating a powerful electric explosion at the end of the spear and sending the enemy back to the ground.
Note: Only the spear extention can reach up to mid range.

This is a advance version of the lightning spear. Now with the spear alone, you could move it around and cut through many tough rocks. The spear is very useful to keep a distance away from an opponent, it also acts as a chidori which on contact will numb the area of the opponent if caught. You can wield the spear with great ease, it can cut through the most solid of metals. Its great to use to finish an opponent off, and the spear when release is very quickly. Now the spear extends mid-range (10m). The spear now if the opponent is pierced by it, the user can send extra chakra to the tip to create a explosion which can destroy the opponents inside. Its very deadly.

( Raiton: Raiden ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Chain​

Perform the technique: Yusei having not learned the shadow clone technique as of yet creates a raikiri as instructed by his sensei and chains it with his sensei clone.The lightning chakra combines until it becomes linked to the point that it becomes an almost chain of lightning.

Creative uses/strengths: In terms of creativity , I find myself somehow taking advantage of the fact that the raikiri doesn't count as a move since at anytime I can just split up the clones and attack from both sides.That and somehow use this as a trap , although it would require an effective concealment method.

Drawbacks/counters: Essentially it requires you to give 2 spots because you need a clone out on the field to preform it that and it can only be done with the shadow clone jutsu because the lightning clones rank is too low.And since I dont have nin training I consider that a major drawback since I cant use it currently.

( Raiton: Chidori Shinso ) - One Thousand Birds True Spear​

Perform the technique: Yusei starts off by focusing lightning chakra in his hand to create a chidori he then dashes quickly armed with it in his hand. As he strikes his target, he manipulates the shape of the Chidori to extend it into a spear of lightning that impales and picks the opponent into the air. Yusei then further increases the potency of the lightning, generating a powerful electric explosion at the end of the spear.

Creative uses/strengths:A more versatile form of the chidori , in which it takes the form of a spear.It is easily maneuverable and can be used to pierce through almost any material due to its ranks.That and it can extend up a good range to 10m allowing some option to use it to target something in the sky if close enough.

Drawbacks/counters: Like any other lightning tech that's channeled being hit by a water tech while using this could have disastrous consequences.That and part of the technique requires the user to dash.

Question-Can I use this through a medium such as a sword to extend its range though slightly

To the question, no you can't. The spear comes out of the Chidori and the chidori only comes from the hand. Most likely no. So lightning is done for you, congrats.
