"Yes sensei."

Itachi looks at the earth wall formed on the other side of the training area. He takes a few steps back and takes in a breath. Then, as soon as he exhales, he dashes forward at the clone at great speed and uses the end of his sword handle to hit the clone in the stomach and knocking the wind out of him. While he is immobilized, Itachi kicks the clone in the side, and then kicks him on the other side with his other foot extremely fast. Itachi then crouches down and kicks his foot straight upward from underneath the clone's stomach, sending him in the air a few feet, straight up though. As the clone is in the air, Itachi uses much force and speed to perform a jumping spin kick that is angled slightly upwards and sends the clone flying in a path right over the wall. Itachi then dashes around the wall and turns around. As soon as he turns around, the clone is almost near him, and Itachi punches the clone straight in the wall. The clone then gets slammed into the wall and vanishes.

Excellent. You did a multistep combination that brought my clone OVER the wall. Students don't typically do that.

Use your sword and channel chakra through it. Dash towards my next clone and slash them upwards. Leap upward to appear above them, then slash downward, turning your blade into a chakra drill that skewers them on the ground. Lethal!

Why do you think channeling chakra through a sword would be useful?

"Thank you And right away."

Itachi looks at the clone and begins channeling his chakra into his sword. He then races towards the clone and using only his right hand, makes and windmill motion with his right arm to strike the clone. (I'm holding the sword with my right arm only straight up, and I wind mill it in a circle so when I'm coming back up, it slashes the clone) The force of the speed and the added strength from the chakra makes the clone fly high in the air. Itachi then follows through with the clone and jumps right in front of it. Itachi grabs the sword with his other hand and places the sword high above his head. He then strikes down the sword with both hands at the clone and follows through with it, so that as the clone is falling, Itachi is going down with him to continue the strike. The clone poofs and Itachi gets up after landing on the floor.

"To answer your question, it would be good for increasing the strength of the attack and also for allowing nature elements to be added, such as adding a paralyzing effect by imbuing the sword with lightning chakra."

This one's probably one of the more popular basic kenjutsu techniques. By slashing your sword in a crescent arc, you expel red chakra in a red wave. It's an energy-type attack that can defend from jutsus up to equal rank, and its shape and thinness can cut as well.

Let's try something different this time. Use that jutsu to hit these targets. You can hit them all with one attack or use the crimson wave multiple times if you happen to miss.

"This looks amazing!"

Itachi focuses his sight on the clay discs being thrown. Using his calculations, he waits for the precise moment for when all the discs will line up in the air. The moment he spots this time, he swings his sword with his right hand in a crescent shape and a red wave of chakra is seen being released from it and flying to the discs. All at once, the wave hits the perfectly aligned clay discs.

"I'll definitely be using this. It's great that it can be used defensively too."

As discussed on Skype, you only have C-rank Raiton. Since one of the jutsus requires Chidori (A-rank), I can't teach it to you. However, once you learn it, you will gain access to this technique:

(Kusanagi no Tsurugi: Chidorigatana) - Grass Cutter Sword: One Thousand Birds Katana

Description: The user flows Chidori current through a katana in manner similar to flying swallow technique. The Radiating and chirping blade can easily cut through steel. Furthermore, the body of the person cut by the sword goes numb, taking away their freedom of movement.

But for now, let's continue with the rest of the jutsus ^^

Here's the second to the last Kenjutsu! Channel chakra into your sword, turning it blue. By jumping into the air, you start spinning and attacking an enemy with that blade.

Honestly, unless your enemy is in mid-air, I don't see many practical uses for this. However, jumping upward may help you avoid certain techniques.

Itachi begins focusing his chakra into his sword. It soon begins to turn blue. Once prepared, Itachi leaps upward and spins with his sword in the air, one hand tucked near him. As he spins, he rises higher and higher, and hits the top of a tree in the final turn of the spin.

"The only reason I love this technique is because it reminds me of Link haha."

... Link? Sounds like some green warrior who saves princesses or something. A true hero! HA!

The very last standard Kenjutsu technique is perhaps the most useful. Use the tip of your blade and stab it on the ground when your opponent launches a Raiton jutsu. The sword will act as a lightning rod to absorb and dispel the energy, keeping you safe from harm.

I will clarify a few points here. You can only channel and dispel Raitons up to A-rank, and they won't work on Lightning techniques that are 'focused', meaning Raitons that have a certain shape or are projectile based. Current-based jutsus and basic flowing lightning jutsus can be redirected, however.

To show you exactly what I mean, I'm going to attack you with a Chidori Nagashi, a free-flowing lightning current. Use that last technique to protect yourself!

Itachi then thinks too much and worries and then gets paralyzed by the attack... Kidding Lol

Itachi then waits and sees his Sensei perform his little brother's technique. He smiles knowing that now his little brother will not be able to use the technique on him, as he is learning the counter. With his confidence, as the steady stream approaches, Itachi stabs the tip of his sword into the ground and makes the sword act as a lightning rod to absorb the free-flowing current of lightning. As soon as the attack stops, Itachi picks up his sword and bows to his teacher and awaits his response.

Now, those are all the standard kenjutsu techniques that are available to you. Congratulations, you've completed this field of study! However, the journey doesn't end there. You can choose to master this art by honing it, craft special techniques, or even choose to become a samurai!

If you have any questions, ask. However, I have one last exercise for you.

*Souji creates two Shadow Clones of himself.*

On the first clone, I want you to apply what you've learned and use three of those standard kenjutsu techniques on him in a smooth, continuous combination that makes sense.

On the second clone, same exercise, but use three completely different jutsus.

Gauge which ones are your favorites and get a feel for stringing attacks together!

"Alright."

Itachi stares at the two clones and takes in a deep breath. He then bolts towards one clone and knocks it in the gut with his sword handle before dealing several kicks to send the clone in the air. Then, as the clone is in the air, Itachi channels chakra into his blade a makes a crescent strike that releases a red chakra wave that flies right into the clone, furthering his distance being traveled. As continuing with the first technique, he runs to reach were the clone would land. Right before the clone is near him, Itachi takes out his sword and makes three incredibly quick slashes on the clone as he is right next to him, finishing him off with a final downward slash into the ground.

Itachi then looks at the second clone. He immediately rushes straight towards it. As he is running, he channels chakra into his blade and strikes the clone upwards into the air. Then, he follows through, but rather than finish him off with a downward strike, Itachi spins upward. While spinning, he channels chakra through his sword to cause it to glow blue. Itachi then spins up, slashing the clone several times. As soon as he is done spinning, the clone begins to fall downwards into towards the floor. Following suit, Itachi aims vertically downwards and falls right above the clone. As they are falling, Itachi then strikes the clone in the air and drills him downwards into the floor.

However, one thing to note is that those types of combinations don't work too well with elements and their related fields, so stick to them with Kenjutsu and Taijutsu.
