Anyways, why don't you guys tell me all you know about Fire Release. Make sure to mention how it relates to the other elements

Fire release is one of the basic 5 elements which can be found in naruto. It is created by moulding super heated chakra within ones stomach and release it via ones mouth. In the manga and anime it is a common element found within ninja of the leaf village. The tiger seal is mostly applied to fire techniques.

Physically the katon attacks are combustion reactions occuring, which are capable of burning the enemy and exploding. It is sometimes used via paper bombs, gun powder and is capable of being transfered to objects for similar effects.

Mainly katon is used as an offensive attack element. This works well as it is able to cover varying distances, from mid to short as well as being possible widespread attacks. Katon has a big impact on the narutoverse it is natural afinity of the uchiha clan, one of the most seen elements in the narutoverse as well as leading to other elements by combining with other basic 5's to make scorch, lava and boil release. Dust release also requires fire release. The amaterasu a technique weilded by the mangekyou sharingan users is said to be the highest form of the fire release. As such it's impact on NV is immense.

Fire will feed on the flames of wind style jutsu's making fire style to be stronger than wind when it comes two equal leveled attacks. In the same way it can be used in combination with a wind attack to make it stronger. Fire is naturally weaker to water as it will put out the flames.

Katon is most commonly used in its fire-based form, but it can also take the shape of a plume of superheated ash or a misty flammable gas. In terms of raw potential, its considered the least versatile element as it excels in offensive capabilities, lacks in supplementary usage and is ill-suited to use as a defensive element. Despite this, Katon is the most ferocious element to contend with due to its sheer raw power. The heat of the element makes it capable of reducing earthen structures to molten mud, the parasitic nature of it means it preys on the oxygen within wind-based attacks to supplement the flames and even against its elemental superior, large-scale Katon techniques are capable of reducing large bodies of water to scorching mist of dense steam. Good, but something to add. Even if fire is weak to water, they can also react to form steam. There are a lot of uses for fire, it is the flashiest element. Meaning that it can be used as a source of light, for a variety of jutsu such as Nara techniques. Another thing you should note, explosive tags are NOT fire jutsu. They are ninjutsu, slips of paper with a seal to make them explode. Same thing with gun powder. Although you should note, that they can be used in conjunction with fire to make deadly explosions (just make sure you're far away from the explosions >_>). Although, wind can make fire stronger you can't use fire and wind at the same time unless you have a partner, clone, or Yin-Yang release. Also make sure to note the below:

Vex uses A rank fire jutsu on Strawberry.
Strawberry counters with S rank wind.

The wind will NOT feed the fire in this case. They would cancel out.

How does fire go with the lightning element?

Good guesses, but both not what I was looking for.

Fire and lightning are interesting. They both exist in the 'plasma' state, so they would pass through each other. However, an RP mod has told me that When equally ranked fire hits an equally rank lightning, they cancel out. Although several sensei have told me that they will go through eachother. But, they would not combine in my opinion. They wouldn't be able to.

The answer I was looking for however, was this:

Lightning and fire can't directly interact, but they can indirectly. The fire is able to hide the lightning behind it. This is why fire is useful. Fire is extremely flashy, being able to hide other things behind it or in some cases within it. But only certain kinds of fire jutsu can do this. A stream of fire, would be unable to do this. A fire ball on the other hand WILL be able to. Now here's an example:

Strawberry uses a fire ball.
He then sends out a lightning bolt. But hides the lightning behind the fire, so it's invisible to the enemy.
The fire is countered, but the opponent fails to see the lightning and dies!

Pretty simple, and straight forward jutsu. Simply take a deep breath, and knead fire chakra within your body, and focus it into your stomach. Once you do, exhale sharply and release the fire as you do. Repeat this process several times, as quickly as you can until you can release several fireballs.

Ways to Counter: I don't know the specific name of the jutsu but you could shoot water at the balls of fire, creating a shroud of mist to hide your next attack.

i think a simple earth wall would suffice

Uses of this technique (Battle orientated and non-battle orientated):
for battle oriented multiple fireballs can be used to cover a wider area to ensure higher success, other than that as you stated it produces shadow i would ignite the arena in multiple spots creating shadows where a nara like myself could gain advantage of higher speed shadow movement.

You forgot to do the uses of the technique D:
The jutsu are rated, in case you rate an extremely useful technique very low; And vice-versa. This gives you an idea of which jutsu would be useful for certain situations.
And umm from now on, I'll make a shadow clone for you to test each jutsu on.
Indeed, you can use water to counter. But sometimes, it can be better if you don't use an element's natural weakness. To catch an opponent off guard.

Opponent uses C rank fire ball
You would be expected to use water
Instead you use earth or wind.

Good, very good. I like your uses, especially about the shadows. But keep in mind, that you have to hit something flammable for the flames to stay on the field. Contrary to popular belief, dirt is not flammable. But if it hits a tree or bush the fire will catch. Keep in mind, the jutsu is short range.

Now that you've gotten a hang of the template I would like you to both start to perform the jutsu as well as use the template.

Alright, next jutsu. In this jutsu, I want you to concentrate your fire chakra. At the same time, draw several shuriken from your pouches. Release the fire chakra from your mouth, and using precise accuracy strike each of the shuriken with a fire ball, so that they become engulfed in flame. Aim the shuriken at my clone.

Rin inhales deeply as she pulls four shuriken out of her ninja pouch. Fire chakra starts forming in her lungs as she throws all four of the shuriken at a clone. The fire chakra compresses and as she exhales sharply, four fireballs come flying out. Each fireball hits the shuriken, setting it on fire and hitting the clone. "Hmm?"
