LOL, WTF?

Alright, well, firstly, I hope you understand that Kenjutsu is a very important and artistic art. Can you tell me something about it that interests you greatly?

Kenjutsu fascinates me because it's a noble skill and is an extension of a samurai's incredible taijutsu; it has been a powerful and efficient way of combat, ever since it was created, way before ninja techniques;which are thought to have surpassed sword techniques. Yet, with enough skill, a samurai like myself  can hold my own against a ninja.

You are precisely correct. Although Samurais possess no jutsu, a simple draw of a sword can easily deflect the power of a shinobi - it takes great training and concentration, but the understanding of the art and the world around a Samurai vastly surpasses shinobis.

Alright, let's start with the basics. Do you happen to have a sword on you? If so, proceed to describe it to me as much as you can.

As a matter of fact, i do. I hold the sword Arondight.
It's a holy sword, and the counterpart of Saber's Excalibur. It's a powerful sword that is capable of receiving any attack without being damaged. It's known as The Unfading Light of the Lake, because of its luster that seems much like the glow of a lake on a gleaming night sky.

...I feel like I just got drawn into some storybook. @_@
Alright, erm, could you tell me about its physical properties as well?
Also, what kind of stances would a Kenjutsu user take and why?

lol,
and i dont know anything else about it ._. tbh

and kenjutsu users stand firmly on the ground, and keep one of their hands in a defensive manner; while holding the sheath of the sword on the other hand, in order to have a quick offence when needed.

Make something up! I must know!
And good response. :) I'll teach you four basic stances that I personally enjoy and utilize.
The first stance is called the "Ox" stance. Hold your sword up next to your head so that the blade is pointing straight ahead.

What might be the purpose of such a stance?

hm, let's see, Arondight's physical properties are...Well, was forged to take any attack, and not receive any damage. So Arondight is sturdy as hell ._. it has a similar design to excalibur.

From what i can see, the ox stance seems to leave the user with a huge opening, allowing an opponent to attack.
The name of the stance, "Ox", makes me think that the user attacks an opponent in a straight forward manner, similar to an ox or bull's way of attack.
the purpose would probably be to attack the upper half of an opponent while keeping the user's body at a distance.

That still doesn't tell me about its length and weight! D:<

Excellent. Remember that the hilt of your sword (or handle), must be near your temple while your thumb is beneath the blade, NOT on top of it.
This position, although not as stable as others, protects well, allows a direct threat with its straight thrust, turn to cut diagonally downward, or pull back to cut from underneath. You are correct in saying that it does keep a safe distance while dealing damage.

Now, proceed to lower your sword down beneath you like a standard way of the grasping the sword.

What might this be used for?

sorry i took long to reply, my user cp isnt showing when you post in this thread >_<
You said i could make something up right? ._.
then..Arondight is weighs 10lbs and it's length is around 4 feet

This stance seems like it can be very effective if used as a diagonal attack. if the user steps forward while preparing an attack, the power of the attack will be increased.
this stance also seems to be a better defence than the ox stance

Well, this is known as Pflug stance, or the Plow stance, and this position allows you to maneuver more easily upon the battlefield, not necessarily deal a diagonal attack, but I see where you are getting at.
You must also remember to lead with your dominant leg here, because it is vital to switch positions during this stance. A small step forward or backwards can allow you to turn the tides easily. The point should also be aimed at the opponent's chest or throat and the hilt should be held more off to the side in front of the hip joint rather than dead center between the legs.
Well said about this stance being more defensive. You are completely correct.

Next stance then, known as the Alber stance.
You must be registered for see images

Lower your hand upon the sword's hilt, pointing the blade down. You can lead with either one of your legs.
What might this be used for?
