Its like me saying my knife kills everyone it pierces, it doesnt mean it can kill an armored knight. Why?. Because even tho my knife can kill everybody it pierces, it doesnt mean it can pierce armor.

Now I would be very stupid if I went to fight an armored knight with that knife, of course Im not.
Itachi wasnt that stupid, so he never went to fight someone of Madaras caliber, knowing that he would lose horribly.

The only feat of Totsuka the "unstoppable" sword is piercing through jelly like Orochimaru who wasnt even moving.

In the fight against Orochimaru it cut the heads of all the snakes clean off. Just because it is a spitting weapon doesn't mean it doesn't have physical properties. It was shown to be tough physically and it is said to seal everything it pierces, but this is more of an exaggeration or hyperbolism. They made the weapon sound unbeatable to some levels.

Though we have not seen it clash against Onmyoudou or Kaguya, I doubt it would be too much of an enemy who can turn them into nothingness.

Yeah, I'm sure it wouldn't be that useful against Kaguya for example. We really don't know that much about this attack and it's limits.

All you have to do is over power itachi's chakra, by boosting your own chakra level
