ITACHI CAN NEVER BE DEFEATED, HIS INVINCIBLE! Lol sorry my inner Itachi fanboyness came out there...

I too am a Itachi fan, I love this theory, it's very good. I hope once Naruto over, Kishi decides to do short manga's that aren't exactly fillers, just so that they remain truthful, if that makes any sense, so that it not a filler version you seen in anime episodes of naruto. So we can see things like how Itachi acquired the Totsuka blade etc.

Yet other weapons created by the SO6P could indeed seal the bijuu's, the amber purifying pot has been used to seal the 8 tailed.

However, what totsuka does, is that it seals the soul of the person it pierces in an internal genjutsu. This is without doubt and unquestionable. But does a Bijuu have a soul? That is the thing you need to base a theory on, not the abilities of the sword, as they are sharply defined in manga and databook, and thus wont be changed.

Relationship with other Kusanagi swords can be meaningless, so trying to make sense of that, is just random guesses. Kishi gets all his names from somewhere. Totsuka is more related to Susanoo than any kusanagi sword. That is the only reason for its name, because the myth relates it to Susanoo, just as the databook says.
