Totsuka Blade capabilities

It seems to be able to extend, but more is probably possible, as it's an astral weapon. If only itachi decided to give it to sasuke (might've helped not make sauce fodder). Any theories on its potential? I personally would've liked to see it ignited by Amaterasu, using its range and flexibility to spread the fire

OT: As far as Totsuka goes if it had been on the scene it would have been nerfed. There is no way Kishi is going to let Sasuke seal Kaguya on his own.

Yeah,it's not cause Itachi wasn't Indra's Riencarnation,Naruto's Rival,the 2nd main character,not nearly as important as Sasuke (storyline everything built up til this moment),or an Edo - it was just so he could extend the manga - that makes more sense.
