Tormented
Gazing into a moonlit sky, reminiscing under the gaze of stars,
Pure and bright, like a heartfelt melody,
All the more painful it was when she left, alas,
The happiness I can touch is now only a memory.
I turn my back to the world’s watchful eyes,
And pretend that I haven’t changed,
It feels like some kind of punishment, hiding away my tears,
But nobody needs to know, as I weep in my heart’s cage.
As the world darkens, and my eyes close,
I prepare for yet another dream,
Where I relive it all again, all the way to when my heart froze,
Where nobody can hear true pain’s silent scream.

All the more painful it was when she left, alas,
