It could be their cells but if that was the case he would of drawn them in their chibi form, right? It's pretty hard to mess up on a volume cover xD I guess it's not big of a deal but nice find though. I didn't even realize it.
OT: This volume looks great, aside from the possible mistake. I'm hyped to see the next volume cover that covers all the great plot reveals that occurs at the end of the PAIR arc.

This cover kinda undermines the intense(for a shounen) gore this arc was. I mean everyone got nulled no diff by Bambina playing a game. Toriko lost an arm and Zebra neck got twisted around many times.(Posion clone but still)
If it were to me i would draw balls on the cover.

Well the premise of the arc is to play/dance with a monkey till his balls drop. This is a weird arc overall with a lot of action and comedy so I don't think he had to make it intense but I understand where you're coming from. A newcomer may get the wrong idea of Toriko from the volume cover.
He did, see the golden ball behind the Toriko title? That's PAIR lol. Unless you wanted this xD

Yea, this is my favorite manga after all, partly because of the lack of inconsistencies lol so I spotted it off the bat
As sage19 stated; This cover kills the tension and seriousness of the actual arc.
Just like the folly Naruto shippuuden openings in which akatsuki members are dancing like ballerinas, accompanied by overall shit animation.

This arc is comedic, it wasn't as intense as the AIR arc which got an intense cover like so:

The next cover should more serious since those chapter reveal the epic plot events that happen at the end. This volume covers the enbu dance with Bambina.
