Looks
Toriko is an extremely muscular and exceptionally tall 25 year old man with somewhat messy blue hair reaching down to the back of his neck. He has three scars running from his left ear to just under his left eye. He has strong, angular facial features and somewhat catlike eyes. He is often seen wearing an orange jumpsuit with a blue shirt and boots and it's his most commonly preferred attire.
Personality
Toriko has a personallity of rugged manliness, eating heavily, drinking, showing off, and displaying a wild sense of enthusiasm only towards what interest him and rarely towards what interest others. Many define him as a glutton. He also has an obsession with perfection when it comes to the food he serves.
Despite having a huge appetite and massive power, Toriko makes it a rule not to indiscriminately kill and eat any animal; he only kills animals that he decides to eat

Background Info
Growing Up
It was always unclear to Toriko who his parents had been or what kind of life they lived. He never knew the comfort afforded many children of his time. As far as he was concerned, Toriko grew up alone and would one day die alone. Though he belonged to a village he never really had any friends or ones whom he called family. He had grown up knowing loneliness and often times would cry a lot. But what an ideal story no? The tale of a boy who knew sadness well and vowed he would one day make a friend and change his fate.
It wasn't easy growing up. For a particular reason no one seemed to care for Toriko except for one person, his companion, Terry. Terry was given to him at a very young age and to this day no one can separate the two. Toriko tried so hard for attention and wanting to be recognized because, how else would someone validate his existence. All he really wanted was to belong and feel like he mattered. So he tried his best, through his studies and training. In time his hard work became noticed by the other students and in time he came to make very good friends. But none was more prominent than his rival...Zebra. Toriko met Zebra after he arrived in Kirigaukre He was always so calm and collected. He was perfection at its best and always talked down to Toriko. Because of this, Toriko worked even harder to one day beat him. He trained more intensively and studied even harder. In a short time, he grew quite quickly and powerful. But no matter what he did, Zebra couldn't care less though it was apparent he felt challenged enough to train just as hard as Toriko. They soon became rivals but more so, Toriko had found someone who acknowledged him. Though Zebra didn't talk about it, Toriko knew that Zebra's clan had been killed and all that was left was himself and a now missing brother. The two had one thing in common that they both agreed without even speaking of it, the sadness of being alone.
After several years of training with Zebra, Toriko grew....and grew...and grew some more. He had trained hard and worked really hard that he didn't notice the changes in his body. He was now more faster, stronger, and taller than when he was a kid. However, it had been several years that Zebra had left to become stronger. It was a bittersweet battle between the two. Toriko fought with all his might to get him to stay and realize that he didn't have to be so alone anymore. Zebra didn't care. He barely escaped with his life leaving Toriko just the same. Since then Toriko trained ever harder and became more focused and determined to bring Zebra back to Kiri.
Destiny and Fate
Toriko had been alone once more though now he had been surrounded by many wonderful friends who cared for Toriko in their own way. Feeling surrounded by such warmth and kindness, Toriko soon became mild mannered and gave up wanting to be acknowledged. He instead changed his goal that he would become the next Mizukage and change it to a vibrant city that it once was and make it a place that Zebra could come back to without any problems. Many became surprised by his tenacity and boldness. But in battle....that is another story. In battle, Toriko became quite ruthless. He could take on many men at a time that he gained the moniker, Wolf of the Bloody Mist. Though he was the type to jump head first in battle he always had a simple, yet naive goal of getting home in time for meal time. In fact the man was a beast at mealtime. He could eat quite a lot and to some seemed like he had a never ending pit in his gut. But it was simply because he trained and burned a lot of energy that he was able to eat as much.
One day, while on a stroll in Kiri, Toriko bumped into a man who seemed to recognize him. The man mentioned he looked a lot like a man who once belonged to the Inuzuka clan. Intrigued, Toriko followed the man into his home and was treated to a meal. It was a grand meal for the both and after all was eaten, the man went and came back with a photo album. It contained pictures of a man who really did look like Toriko. The man talked with him for a while and revealed he was from the Inuzuka clan and if he wanted to get stronger to recover his friend, he could join him. Toriko agreed and trained hard to make him proud. Now knowing of his parents, their untimely death to protect him, and their love for him made Toriko feel less lonely. In fact since then he has become quite sympathetic to the weak and always helping where he can. It is said not many lived long enough who went against him in battle after being caught cheating the weak or about to hurt them. Truly Toriko is a man who can do what he wants to and anything he sets his mind to.

Lightning Beast
Always having a fascination for the raw power of lightning, Toriko worked hard to master lightning in his youth. He was always eager to learn new jutsus and making some of his own that in time Toriko was able to perform lightning techniques that required handsigns with only one handseal. He became quite deadly that many came to fear his prowess with the lightning element.
Son of the Earth
Toriko is the type of man who has always been in tune with the earth. Since a child he was taught to care for the earth and if anything is taken it should always be replaced. Following this philosophy, Toriko had a passion for earth techniques. He became so adept that it became second nature to him. Because of his love for the earth, Toriko was able to master its techniques quite fast that in time he was able to perform earth techniques faster than the average ninja
Taijutsu Prowess
Toriko followed a very strict training regimen involving numerous hours that for most would kill them. He ended up burning so many calories that he had to increase his eating habits. To some he was regarded as a man with a god's appetite. Because of his discipline, Toriko was able to master taijutsu quite well that in time he became faster than the average shinobi and had immense strength.
Wolf of the Bloody Mist
After spending years in Kirigakure, Toriko became quite adept at the village's two signature jutsus, Silent Killing and Hiding in Mist. He could see much better through the mist than the average shinobi. Adding to his adjustment to the mist he could also move about in the mist without making a sound. His ferocity with the two jutsus earned him the moniker, Wolf of the Bloody Mist.
Weapons
Toriko carries around a large number of ninja tools consisting of smoke bombs, seals, scrolls, kunai, shruiken etc. Cell utilizes them to the maximum when in battle. Toriko also carries a dual katanas and a foldable fan on his back. For extra protection,Toriko always wears a gas mask with an eye shield that blocks out concentrated light which protects him from sudden flashes and gases. Toriko has been know to always come into battle prepared.
Terry Cloth
Terry is a large Ninken with full-blown white fur, black eyes with pink pupils and it has two blue markings on each side of its face below its eyes which resemble horizontal scars. Terry is a very loyal and affectionate Ninken and has a great deal of compassion for Toriko, seeing him as a parental figure of sorts and also treats Toriko's friends with absolute kindness.Terry has always been shown as being a fearless and intelligent creature who will not hesitate to go into dangerous situations, especially when it involves those it cares for and it has had this trait since it was a newborn. However when it comes to battle Terry is a whole new person. Showing no mercy to his opponents, Terry has the strength to kill a grown man with minimal effort due to his physique. Along with his strength, Terry is capable of fighting for long periods of time without getting tired.
