So far no one has seriously fought an eight king except Toriko and Heracles barely tried. Eight Kings are more like guardians of the fullcourse rather than someone you need to fight and kill because they won't be eight king level anytime soon.
Toriko will last 2-3 years at most. I say it will end between 400-500 chapters. Toriko is doing horrible in manga sales. The author is being pressured to pick up the pace because the weekly shounen jump people are not going to invest anymore time in it. Its not bringing in the amount of revenue they expected. They wasted tons of money promoting the series in Japan when it ame out hyping it up to be the next Dragon Ball z. I dont see Toriko getting a reboot or an anime series for the timeskip Gourmet World saga. I dont see Part 3 happening as well unless Toriko gains popularity. Toriko has been off the best selling manga list for two years now and its sales keep plummeting.
I agree that part 2 will last prob. 2-3 years but Toriko sales aren't bad at all. Ofc the sales have had a decline but that's because of no anime release which is to be expected. In fact, sales have slowly been rising. For a series that has no anime, it still racks up close to the low 300k's per volume. Toriko almost made the 2014 yearly sales as well, it was ranked #31.
this is what i hate so much. An average manga like Nanatsu no taizai is so popular bcoz of its anime which has taken sales to another roof. While Im not hating on it, personally I dont find it tht gd compared to Toriko which imo ranks next to One Piece and just below Berserk or Monster. Just cos its animation was done by shitty Toei Animation its sales are falling. imo Toriko should carry on for gd 5+ years just cos of how good it is
