I think he was just more surprised that Toriko was able to be his playmate despite having only one arm. Zebra & Coco lost but they didn't get killed this time. Yes 5/5 chapter, I agree.

Edit: Now that you mention it, yeah I think you're right. He does look shocked.

I absolutely love the way Shima describes the vastness and size of the world and it's narrative first two pages about monkey king jumping up to sleep or the 5 billion primates assimilation is a perfect example of it.

That's what i love about this manga. The vastness of strength of creatures and the power gap is well displayed. Also the tension of encountering dangerous creatures..that's an important part that naruto misses. Real tension. Real danger.
