Nah man, Hayate was a boss. The series is a hollow shell of its former self without him. Don't even know how they carried on without him. It's blasphemy if you ask me.

But his replacement was even more of a boss. Don't know how that's possible but he was.

All this to say i disagree a lot with that list.
A character who has no influence on the story is obviously not a relevant one. Ebisu isn't even a secondary character, the guy is just background, ofc he's "useless". Same goes for Kurenai, she was never developed.

It's funny how some people want to redefine the word useless... A lot of character mentioned played a part (small or big )in the development of the story or other character. If you have this absolute need to use the word useless, you can use it in this sentence: this thread is useless.

Udon - you're joking right? The series would be so different with out him.

Sakura part one - meh, she did a couple things.

Sakura shippuden to war - you're literally joking right? She played a huge ass part in saving Gaara. She did more but I'm too tired to type x.x

Kiba - all he did was hold off a sound ninja.

Just kidding. Nice list. Although Kiba is usable as a sensor. Same goes for Sai with the ability to fly and sensor abilities trough his drawings.
