1-Shikaku ( took an important role in this war by leading every divisions )
2-Minato ( Planed that his son would be what he is today)
3-Kakashi ( smartest in battle outsmarted Itachi, Nagato and can't count how many times praised)
4-Tobirama ( incredible knowledge and created edo tensei)
5-Shikamaru (Was able to lead a team with Kakashi after knew enemies abilities after only 1 encounter, praised many times by Tobi etc..)

Shikaku and Shikamaru are good at planning, but in terms of overall knowledge such as combat expertise (on feet) or ninjutsu knowledge they fall short

I won't talk for Shikamaru, but Shikaku is the one who thought of the kurama-naruto-handhold-transfer plan, right before he died
