Nah, your not thinking deep into it enough, if obito had saw rin die but hadnt met madara, then he wouldn't hate the world and want to control it. Madara's influence played a huge part on him, and Rin's death was the catalyst

hiruzen's and obito's deaths were also pretty sad, and kimimaro and gaara's childhoods, and chouji dying after fighting jirobo. for some reason minato and itachi's deaths didn't really affect me the way the other moments did
