5. Jiraya-a perverted yet skilled man who raised many generations of fine shinobi. Although he had his pervy moments, he has also shown us a high level of integrity and selfsecrifice. He is also a key adult in Narutos life.

4. Sasori-a young and talented nijna whos parents died when he was still just a child. Looking for closure and avoiding loneliness he creates puppets of his parents. This starts his desire to create art, he becomes the best at it, but slowly turns to evil and even turns himself to a puppet. But before his death, he realises the human part in him and dies with honour.

3. Kakashi-a powerfull jounin in charge of team seven with a rare and almost extinct power which was given to him by a dear friend before what was thought to be his death. After witnessing Obitos ''death'', he kept his ideals and realised that his father was not wrong for saving his comrades. He passes on his ideals to the new generation. (he also has a cool and mysterious look :D )

2. Naruto-an orphan who never knew his parents, he had been shunned for hosting the demon fox which almost destroyed his village but he eventually gained the aproval and respect of his fellow villagers. He is funny, dump and very passionate. He has strong motos and a set goal which drives him to brilliance. He is a figure of true moral values.

1. Itachi-a genius child who was given a very difficult task of eliminating his clan to prevent an inevitable war. His mission was imperfect since he did not have the heart to kill the person he loved the most; his younger broder. He drove him to revenge so that he could become a hero taking his brothers head. Itachi joined akatsuki for Konohas protection and made sure there were no attacks on it from akatsukis part. Even after his death he plays a key role in stoping edo tensei. What adds to his brilliance is his genius fighting abilities and his calmness.

Honorable mentions; Madara, Zabuza and Haku, Sasuke (up to Itachis death), Pain, Minato, ...

This is just my opinion, tell me if you agree; who would you add to my list or who would you take down off it and why? I look forward to your responses, cheers!

Agreed, only, I'd put Sasuke instead of Sasori.

- Sasuke

-gap-

Not in particular order.

- Itachi
- Nagato
- Hashirama
- Jiraiya

There are other good characters, but these are the ones that i prefer overall.

1. Kabuto - In short, his entire story is just fantastic. From friend to spy, from a loyal right hand man to a major player in the 4th world war, and from average strength to near godlike power. This guy seemed cold, calm and collected the whole, but he was actually insane, desperate for an identity.

2. Danzō - To call him straight up "good" or "evil" is impossible unless you don't understand his character.

3. Tobi - From dumbass to Akatsuki leader... Best plot twist in the series

4. Itachi - This evil monster turned out to be a loving brother the entire time. Second best plot twist.

5. Orochimaru - Such a wonderful villain, the best in the series. No one else really had the "pure evil" thing going for them like Orochimaru. The one who began the Naruto story's most important conflict, taking Sasuke away from Naruto. Good times.

Good list and interesting oppinion, I also liked Orochimaru and Kabuto. Danzo was also very well written, however I don't think his story is in the top 5. Thanks for sharing your oppinion! =)

I am indecisive when it comes to things like this but I like this list the most even though some of these aren't my faces.. still doesn't take away that they each had good story behind them.

Only Sasori is actually well written, rest are either wack or meh.

Lol @ Minato being in honorable mentions. The guy is epitome of bland characterization.
