Top 5 intellengence

Top 5 is too short. How can you avoid not listing one of Madara,Obito, Sasuke, Itachi, Minato, Shikamaru, Shikaku, Kakashi, Orochimaru who have displayed their wits many times in the manga?

I think Jiraiya was pretty intelligent too but I just can't take him seriously

I don't list Danzo because the way he used those Sharingans was a litle idiotic in my opinion.
Also the other Hokages or any other Kage hasn't shown that much intelligence because they had too little panel time.

sasuke is smart, but he's more of a tactical genius while the others have more of an overall intelligence (eg. general knowledge, jutsu specialty, analytical skills). sasuke still needs more experience before he can be considered on par with people who have more of a "complete" intelligence

No, he wasn't a medical genius, He was able to heal himself but that's all. With a seal Tsunade was able to do the same.

I can understand this, but this doesn't mean we should ignore her. Itachi died a long time ago, yet everyone remembers him.

Shikaku.
Orochimaru.

Everything is based on how they were shown in manga. Itachi is a failior, his plan didn't succeed. Madara was smart enough to live long life, to create Tsuku-no-me, to manipulate Obito, to create Zetsu, to give Nagato the Rinnegan and tons of other things, which is SMART, Shikaku - only has brains when it comes to tactics. Obito manipulated a lot of people ( although he was manipulated himself ), created Akatsuki, with Madaras name created a war. Orochimaru is self explain, he almost has as much knowledge as Madara. Minato is genius, but he's not smart enough to create plot.
