IMO these were the top 5 most epic battles portrayed in the ANIME so far.

What do y'all think?

Notable Mentions: Killer Bee VS. Taka, Sasuke Vs. Danzo, Sasuke Vs. Kages, and Sasuke Vs. Naruto (Original Naruto Finale).

After edit: I admit I may have slipped on the Minato Vs. Tobi fight, and I had a tough time choosing between Pain and Jiraiya and Pain and Naruto. But what I take into account when I recall these fights are a few factors:
a. the scope of battle (includes damage to surroundings, explosions, etc.)
b. Intenisty and emotions (like Jiraiya's and Naruto's fights with Pain we're so personal, and so was Sasuke and Itachi's.)
c. Music/aura that scenes in the original Japanese Anime give off while watching. (this played a part in the Chiyo fight and the Pain fights. I know to some this may be petty but it plays a part in how the battle is percieved. That's why we have fight music.)
