I don't really understand what "well-written" is suppose to mean, but i have chosen characters based on their values, contemplations (way of thinking), etc

Typically, a "well-written" character is one that develops in an unpredictable, yet realistic/understandable way (Sasuke), or has many 'layers' to their personality that are revealed to the reader throughout the story (Kabuto/Itachi/Danzo). However, some characters' personalities/values alone are enough to endear them to readers. For example, Rock Lee is a stagnant character with a one-dimensional personality, but the way he exhibits his personality is powerful enough to win readers over. Same thing with Naruto. Idk if I explained that too well...

My view on who was written best, in order. @ Person above me, Obito is a well written character, especially compared to the last two villains, so your sarcasm is making you look rather idiotic.

Itachi is a well written character because he is so unique as a manga character in general. Everyone can learn a lot about human qualities like sacrifice,loyalty and affection from Itachi and his story was really well written because it was full of surprises.

Of course Sasuke,I don't even need to say why.

Orochimaru is also a good written character ,probably the best written villain.

Naruto is a typical heroic main character so in that sense, well written.

Complex characters like Sasuke or Obito are also well written regarding their emotional struggle.

Villains like Orochimaru and Madara are fine too.

Controversial characters like Tobirama, Danzo, Itachi can also be considered well written.

Are the less disappointing characters imo.

Gaara, Neji, Nagato, Obito are well written but certain factors cough*tnj*cough were bad cultivations for their characters. Kisame and Sasori were fine too but they had little time to showcase their charcter. Orochimaru and Tsunade are good too.

I can agree with this list, although I would put Kabuto above Danzo. /
And i agree that TNJ realy degraded a lot of characters throughout the series (Gaara,Nagato and Obito) but oh well, we got used to that. :/
