Charapedia (Japanese online poll) asked 10,000 anime fans the question: Which anime series would you recommend to your parents? And from thousands of fans, most of the responses are from the male fans (51.9%), female fans (48.1%) and teens to their 20s (77.6%) while the other 22.4% are 30 and over.

I would recommend Death Note and Samurai Champloo, but my parents wouldn't watch any anime to begin with, lol.

Dunno mate. I found it really sad towards the ending. But I feel like it's too childish/unrealistic for parents to watch.

Samurai Champloo
Psycho Pass
Mushi-shi
Maybe Naruto & SNK
Monster
Ghost in the Shell
Shin Sekai Yori


Those are the only ones that I have watched that I could imagine him liking.

I agree with Psycho Pass and Steins Gate.

I would recommend : Attack on Titan( which my dad actually saw and loved, I felt awesome) Monster, Death Note, Space Dandy( I know my dad would find that funny) and Another.

Can't believe Cowboy Bebop didn't make that list. That's by far the best choice out there for getting other people to watch anime. My dad's more of a comedy guy, though, and I know he damn sure isn't gonna sit through a subtitled show, so probably Space Dandy or Samurai Champloo, maybe FLCL (Clannad's my favorite where humor's concerned, but I doubt it would strike him as very interesting given what it's about).

I disagree with a good amount of that list. Did the parents like these that were suggested? That's what matters otherwise it's just a fave list. My parents wouldn't like most of these.

What I have suggested though that has been well received by my mom or dad.

Death Note, I even caught my dad watching it without me which was funny.
