10. Deidara - This guy captured gaara, survived against kakashi's mangeyko sharingan, and escaped from team guy and team kakashi who are the top squads in the hidden leaf. Deidara is very impressive indeed and his explosion jutsu and has the ability to take on an uchiha prodigy such as sasuke and could have killed him.
9. Sasori - Sasori is a monster and is ruthless and that's the reason I like him, He's killed hundreds of people and murdered the third kazekage, Not everyone can kill a kage. He is a genius in battle and can make his way around in a fight. Why he let chiyo kill him? I have no idea. He would have made a good asset to the war if he hadn't grown up parentless and if he had chosen the right side.
8. Hidan - The very fact that he is immortal is the reason he's on this list though not that bright during battle he is very dangerous so dangerous that he killed a jinchuriki in tailed beast mode and he killed two members of the guardian shinobi twelve. It's a good thing Kabuto didn't revive him for the war.
7. Kisame - I know most of the top characters I've mention so far have been from the akatsuki but it's because all of them are bad asses and this is one of the stronger ones. Kisame Hoshigaki has outstanding chakara to perform a large enhanced version of any water style jutsu anyone in the hidden mist could ever do and he has killed a member of the seven swordsmen ninja and took his sword I'd wish to put him more to the bottom of this list but there's better ninja.
6. Shikamaru - Though not a ninja of powerful taijutsu, ninjutsu, or genjutsu Shikamaru Nara is made of pure ninja genius and has the instincts of a hokage and will soon grow older to become sharper than Shikaku.

Kakashi - The copy ninja himself and the next white fang, This guy became chunnin at age 6 and jonin at age 13 and carries a powerful sharingan though he isn't in top form right now he has last himself against Tobi though with help he has came up with stradegies and the very stradegy that gave Naruto the chance to crush his mask to reveal himself as kakshi's friend Obito
4. Naruto & Sasuke - The reason I'm putting both their names here is because they are close in strength and there is no telling who is stronger right now. Starting with Naruto he has killed 7 akatsuki members (including six paths) and was very helpful at the beginning of the war and is still helping his abilities are off the meter right now with the Bijuu. If only he blends bijuu with his sage mode I think he'll definetly have the power to beat both Madara and Obito. Now with Sasuke he's really been great since the start of the Shippuden series but he has the eternal sharingan which is the most powerful. With Itachi's sharingan Sasuke could probably do anything and his Susano'o is flawless. The day will come when these two will fight and I have no Idea what will happen

Minato Namikaze - I know some people think the flying thunder god technique his some what over-rated and it is but because Minato came up with this jutsu it makes him strong and he can use this jutsu well and if it wasn't for him Naruto wouldn't have the Rasengan and what would happen if he didn't?
2. Itachi Uchiha - This man is dead but he let it happen really. He is one of the strongest uchiha clansmen ever and could beat Madara. He plans so far ahead with the sasuke thing and the naruto with his crow thing and he's just pure genius. Too bad he's dead.
1. Masashi Kishimoto - I know you weren't expecting this one but he really is the most powerful lol he can easily kill everyone with just a pen and he is the god of the naruto world.
