I'm arguing with myself over who's stronger between Luffy and Burgess...I want to say Luffy but I have my doubts for some reason.

I believe Burgess is stronger than Luffy because story-wise it should be the case. We're talking about the first division commander of a yonkou here. Besides, Oda avoided a confrontation between them during this tournament when he had more than enough motives to compare them. Instead, Luffy was forced to leave the tournament and Sabo to take his place. I believe he did it because Luffy wouldn't have win the fruit if he was still in the tournament, so he choosed someone stronger(Sabo)

As for Hakuba he got a similar hype to Burgess when he wiped out his entire block in an instant, having a speed someone on Bartolomeo's level(who fodderized a vice-admiral) couldn't see and impressing even the number2 of the revolutionary army. Besides, it's only a temporarily mode, so it should be that strong. Luffy isn't to be underestimated either. It's for that reason i think it can go either way.

At first i ranked Diamante to be on a similar level to Burgess, but he disappointed me. Besides, story-wise he should be taken out by Kyros(someone with whom he has a story with) and i don't rate Kyros that particularly high, so i put him below Chinjao who at least was capable to push Luffy to mid difficulty

I agree. That and the Strawhats will grow much faster than the BB pirates (who are already near the pinnacle of Piracy)

I don't really count Hakuba... He's Cavendish. Because it is temporary and Cavendish must be asleep: Hakuba is a double edged sword and therefore has as much power as he has weakness.

He hasn't done anything except clobber Rebecca to sh*t. He's probably around as strong as Kyros. If not: between Kyros and Sanji

luffy is stronger than burgess, did you see the way sabo toyed with him and diamante. im pretty sure hes not even the second strongest in the bb crew shiliew is probably stronger and maybe more. if luffy isnt as strong as a commander of a yonko this late in the manga than he has no chance of beating doffy or standing up to a yonko later in the series. oda didn't make luffy fight burgess because it is still too early in the manga for a strawhat to face a blackbeard pirate not cuz luffy couldn't win.

lol you do realize 50% is about 600 chapters right? luffy has to face 4 yonkos, akainu and maybe some admirals and some admirals tier pirates (like doffy) , so yes if he cant beat burgess this late in the manga i dont know how he would accomplish this. sabo probably can beat luffy extreme high diff. in the fight burgess did as much as diamante did and got hes elbow armour destoryed....
