This is purely based of my opinion and since I haven't played every video game ever, this list is probably wrong
1.) Kratos
The Greek Spartan anti-hero in the God of War series who single-handedly killed every single major greek god.
He basically does whatever the **** he wants.
The gods make him mad....what does he do? He kills everyone, and everything that gets in his way to kill Zeus, regardless of what the consequences are.
2.) Sephiroth
The main antagonist of Final fantasy VII, arguably the best and strongest villain in the Final Fantasy franchise.
He is also featured in Kingdom hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 and the Dissidia games.
His only job is to just stand around and be badass while a god-like song plays in the background (One winged Angel and Those chosen by the planet)
3.) Gordon Freeman
Gordan is a MIT graduate and theoretical physicist.....yet he's still a badass. This silent combination of brains and brawns with his trade-mark crow bar is the main character of the Half-Life series.
How can someone be so smart with a neat and tidy goatee and still be that badass?
That alone guarantee's him a spot on this list.
4.) Leon Kennedy
The main protagonist of resident evil 2 and 4 (and will be in 6 too)
What catches my eye when I see him is....how did they make him that cool with a hair cut like that?
He is one of the survivors of the racoon city incident(Resident evil 2) and in Resident evil 4 goes on a mission to save the presidents daughter, who was captured by a infected spanish town (infected with zombieness that is)
5.) Master Chief
The super soldier spartan (much different the Kratos) who seems to stop at nothing to stop the evil horde of the covenant and Flood. Bestowed with super human abilities and a super advanced suit allows Master Chief to single handedly take down the covenant.
Master Chief is the protagonist of the Halo series.
6.) Kefka
What you might be thinking to yourself is "This guy doesn't look badass or cool at all"
Well that may be true, but it's whats on the inside that counts for Kefka.
Kefka is 100% insane with no care for the life of anyone but himself.
Kefka is the only Final Fantasy boss to be successful.
....He did it....he destroys the world.
Kefka is also arguably the best villian in Final Fantasy history.
7.) GlaDOS
The semi-evil testing robot from the Portal series, has left a mark on many gamers for her short appearance. Many words can be used to describe her Evil, Funny, malicious, mischievous and caring.
To not put her somewhere on this list would be a crime.
8.) Sora
Sora the protagonist of the Kingdom Hearts Series. While not completely as badass (he does show quick flashes of badassery but only sometimes) as most of the above. he is...well....likable, although he can be annoying sometimes, I can still forgive him though.
9.) Albert Wesker
He's like someone from the Matrix in a resident evil game. Albert is one of the most persistent and hard to kill villains ever. He somehow planned it all out, It seems like he has nothing to do with something and at the end of the game you'll figure out it was his doing all along.
10.) Jak
Jak has gone through one of the most dramatic changes in video game history. He went from being a E for everyone silent sonic like character, you know very cartoonish, to being a rated T, badass, gun wielding, dark matter monster. The Hero of the Jak series. This is more of a "childhood" favorite of mine (I wasn't really a child but you know what I mean)
