[Discussion] Too much fanserivce?

Does the fanserive bother you?
It seems it the last few chapters of the manga, the fanservice has gone way too far. I can't remember a chapter where Lucy isn't falling face down, ass up or where mostly the girls are naked. I know FT had fanservice from the start, but it didn't bother me that much.
Storyline has gone down the drain and all that's left is friendship, tits and ass.
If that's what you're looking for in a manga, that's fine, not judging.
I just feel Like Mashima can do so much better.(I think he's good at character design.)
Yes, I have officially stopped reading the manga. (putting Natsu and Erza in a suggestive doggy-style pose is just...yeah. I guess Erza's face made it comical, but still...)

well many people bother them and especially people in youtube they goes rant of the lastest chapter of ft but everyone has his own opinion well it doesnt bother me i mean the ft lastest chapter

The Fanservice isn't too much it is just that the story itself is becoming less desirable so instead of people focusing on the story which isn't that interesting they focusing on the Fanservice. People complain about seeing the outline of a Characters ass through their shorts which really is absurd I mean even though I guess you can call it Fanservice it is logical I mean if you are in a bath you are going to be naked. It would be weird to see no sign of naked people during a bath scene it would just be their faces.


The Fanservice has nothing to do with the Story line being less then desirable it is the plot actually. To me the Fanservice was the one thing that saved the last chapter. If you would have taken the Fanservice out it would have been more boring. I myself don't get enjoyment out of Fanservice nor do I hate it. I look at as being part of the Manga and focus on different aspects. Don't even try to say the Fanservice is constantly in your face that you can't enjoy any other aspect of the story because if that is the case that means that the Fanservice id more desirable than the rest of the pieces of Fairy.

He made quite a few fanservice shots, however overall it really doesn't bother me much. The last chapter was the end of an arc, so I really don't understand you can have objections against it on that moment as there isn't really anything else to focus on. There have been a few instances that I thought that it was a bit unnecessary, like when Zirconis stripped Lucy and threw her into Natsu's arms, however overall it isn't that worse, even more so considering that some of the characters themselves 'mock' it by saying they got used by now to Lucy's body (stripping Lucy has been a running gag throughout the series).

It definitely didn't make the storyline go down the drain, we just had some über powerful mages introduced with the Tartaros guild and albeit the Grand Magic Games arc is very controversial (some love it, some hate it) for me the only arc in any manga I have read more often than that one is the Marine Ford arc in One Piece. So the storyline didn't got down the drain.

In the end the fanservice has little influence on the story.

if you think fanservice is too much, what would you say about a manga that has rape scanes, people being cut up and sweet stuff like this? at least it's funny and enjoyable and doesn't ruin the manga because you get pissed off.

Honestly, a bit. I don't mind the content per se but I do think that the frequency thereof is a bit much. While FT isn't nearly as bad as DxD for example, that last chapter was NSFW which is something I never thought I'd say about a chapter of FT.

I don't hate Fairy Tail, I live it in fact. It's just when they fan service goes to extereme lengths like last weeks chapter, it just really bothers me and makes me uncomfortable. Some fan service is totally fine. Drawing an 18-19 year old girl without boobs would just a lie, but when they go over bored with it, it just worries me. I sometimes think Hiro does this when the story isnt as interesting in a certain chapter and hides it with Fanservice.

I don't mind the fan service, FT was originally suppose to end at the Raven Tail Arc, but Fan Service was so high, he kept on going, I feel like the overall story line is pretty amazing the story isn't totally about one person, its about a guild/family. They're one huge family that go through hard times, and good times, and sad times, and I feel like this manga covers this very well.

The plot in whole made me drop the manga, to be blunt it was the first anime Manga I've ever dropped.

Depends where you stop, the plot is getting better, like I said you gotta give the man some credit, it was originally suppose to end at the Raven Tail Arc, Fans wanted more. So there he started to develop more a plot afterwards, with Zeref, and the Dark Guilds and lets not for get the dragons, and almost every arc afterwards has touched parts of the 3 major plot points.
