This is what I want to know how come when minato knocks the flashezies out of tobi with a normal rasengan his arm melts and gets all melty and he didn't even throw his rasengan into the other space-time but when naruto goes all thug mode and uses a mini bijuu rasengan tobi tanks it like it was nothing?

i dont think tobi fully knew the extent of minatos powers as a ninja or was just underestimating him and wasnt expecting minato to be as analytically strong as he was
