So, I just watched The Last movie and I wanted to share a thought with everybody.
We know Toneri's plan was to destroy the earth/world for their abuses of Chakra, according to his interpretation of Hamura's plan.
We also know Madara's plan was to trap the entire earth/world inside a Genjutsu and absorb their Chakra for himself, according to what he interpreted from the Uchiha Tablet. [
There is something common between these two men: They both share the same ideals and motives.
One guy hated Hagoromo's world because it constantly abused Chakra and it lead to wars, and he decided to destroy it. The other guy hated Hagoromo's world because it also abused Chakra and it lead to wars, and instead decided to control Chakra using the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
From what we understand; they both hated Hagoromo, they both hated Chakra's usage, they both hated humanity. So it raised a thought to my mind: How come did they not meet at all?
From the looks of it, Toneri was keeping a close eye on earth. He knew all the wars happened and he did further state the Gedo Mazou was re-summoned and revived back to earth (which we know Madara was behind it). But Madara should have also knew about Toneri's existence. His Infinite Tsukuyomi was overshadowing the moon (where Toneri lived at) and he could have sensed Toneri's Chakra, given that he's Ōtsutsuki and Madara shared all traits of the Ōtsutsuki.
