How would you guys feel if toneri trained boruto to use his jougan? I mean sasuke is an awesome sensei too but he is limited.

Toneri can teach boruto otsutsuki history and the true power and meaning behind his dojutsu. I believe it was already foreshadowed.

Well it makes sense since he knows what it is but I doubt it i think at most he'll give him info on his eye and help him with stuff in the series down the line

I think sasuke will be a bigger influence in mastering his eye

Kind of like how jiraya taught Naruto to control his bijuu chakra

Hmm that's not a bad idea. But why would Toneri train him and teach him about the Otsutsuki heritage? Other than to cultivate Boruto's doujutsu so he can steal it later is pretty much the only reason I could come up with.

I didn't watch the Last so maybe Toneri isn't entirely a villain?

But Sasuke is the dojutsu god, it makes more sense honing your skills against someone that can challenge you at the highest level

Sasuke is should be the master of rinnegan not byakugan and its derivatives. That's should be Toneri's field of expertise.
Sure Sasuke could teach him the basics but for advanced byakugan/jougan techniques and more otsutsuki skills Toneri is by far the best choice.

You should reaaly watch it, I love the last. You nailed it, toneri was defeated and turned neutral/good, NaruHina offered him a place on earth but he decided to stay on the moon.

What does battle strength have to do with overall knowledge? :sdo:

When it comes to otsutsuki histoy and jougan intel there is no better teacher than toneri atm.

We don't even know what Jougan really is. Toneri doesn't wield the Jougan either so there probably isn't much for him to teach.




Also Sasuke is a way better teacher, once Boruto starts applying Sasuke's teaching he will probably be unbeatable.

Yeah he has insight, but with the Jougan appearing there is a possibility of other dojutsus we dont know about. If there were people stronger than Kaguya for instance then the Jougan can probably be way out of his league. Besides that dojutsu powers can unlock naturally.

People please read the OP before bringing in who shits on who.

Sasuke and Toneri can both teach him, with Sasuke teaching him about ninjutsus, tactics, taijutsu and maybe a bit about his doujutsu based on Sasuke's limited knowledge on the byakugan and its derivatives. Sasuke can't tell or teach Boruto about something which he himself isn't aware of and that's where Toneri comes into picture, he's been shown monitoring Boruto's growth and is aware of the jougan and being an otsutsuki himself is much more knowledgeable when it comes to the otsutsukis.
Boruto needs them both to reach his full potential.
