This year's 45th issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine is revealing on Thursday that Tokyo Ghoul manga creator Sui Ishida will launch a "shocking new series" in the following issue on October 16. The new manga will have a 45-page first chapter with a color opening page and art on the magazine's cover.

The magazine teases, "The legend has a beginning. If you bear witness to this beginning, it will be a moment you will never forget as long as you live!!" The magazine's website has been teasing an upcoming launch from Ishida since Thursday.

The Tokyo Ghoul manga ended in Young Jump on September 18. The 14th and final compiled volume of the manga and the Tokyo Ghoul [zakki] illustration collection will ship simultaneously on October 17. Ishida mentioned on Twitter last month that an important announcement "might" be uploaded to the Young Jump or Tokyo Ghoul website.

Director Shuhei Morita's anime of Tokyo Ghoul premiered in July, and the official Chinese website for the anime had listed that a second season would begin in January.

Hopefully, it's the part 2 of TG's manga.

He'd be a total ******* to start a new manga instead of continuing Tokyo Ghoul. Thanks a lot for sharing.

I really hope this is just a Tokyo Ghoul sequel, instead of a brand new manga, like who ends a series like that and then starts a new manga? He'll probably do the same with it too, then you've gotta admire his trolling abilities. Honestly, if i was a mangaka with many people hooked on my works, i'd be really tempted to troll, too.

EDIT: Seems there's truly an unconfirmed sequel named RE: Tokyo Ghoul
