I'm trying to get back into TG again after going into a huge hiatus. I started reading Tokyo Ghoul around September and only got to chapter 11 (mind you those chapters were pretty long and I had to re-read alot because i'm still new to it and had to remember what was going on and some names) but since then I stopped for no real reason. Although I know there's the anime I heard it's very different, but I found a site where they show it uncensored.

TL;DR
Should I read/watch it or watch it and start reading from where the show left? I really don't have time for both versions.

If you really dont have time then watch the 1st season. If you want to try the manga regardless of time i would advice reading from the start because its quite the journey. Or i would start at chapter 50 where shit starts going down. 58 exact when shit goes down.

Just start from scratch or continue where you left off with the manga.

Read it. ANIME is very different from the original manga.

Whatever you do read the manga, but when you reach exactly chapter 61 I highly recommend watching episode 12 of Tokyo Ghoul. That episode is better than the entirety of that season + season 2 combined. It's really well done and has more impact than the manga, plus this is arguably the culmination and turning point in the series, and it's actually done justice in the anime.

Read the manga. Reading is faster than watching anyway.

Become a filthy speedreader and when you get caught up you can go back and reread whatever you didn't pay much attention to if you don't get some things.
