Has anyone heard of tokyo ghoul root A? I'm so excited its the second season of tokyo ghoul but its gonna go by the sequel of the manga Tokyo ghoul: re. or at least i think so. But anyways it comes out in janurary. Thoughts?

I heard it doesn't go with the manga, but it's a parallel universe or something. Wished they followed the manga, because I haven't even started reading it
really? I heard 2 things. At first i heard that it was gonna go along with Tokyo ghoul:re the sequel to the original manga. and then i heard that it as gonna be about aogiri tree organization and how they were formed, or something like that. andddd READ THE MANGAAAA. its like the greatest thing ever.
The second season is going to follow a parallel universe, different from the manga, where Kaneki is trapped in Ghoul Prison. However, the story will still be written by Ishida himself. So I don't see the problem in it not following the manga, since it means more canonical material, characteriation, etc. Plus, the first season of TG was ruined anyways. Even if they animated the rest of the manga, it would be ruined as well. They can't ruin this one.

You guy are forgetting that Sui, the created of TG, will be guiding the anime now and its will run for 24 episodes.

It's not gonna follow the manga, but I think that this might actually be better since Ishida will write the plot for this anime so this time he can make it so that it doesn't get butchered by censorship like the first part (which did "follow" the manga).
