Well Knowing the author is not ignorant and seeing Himami inherited her parents Kagunes (both of them) I knew she was destine for greatness, I was waiting for it ever since the fight against mado in the tunnel Dx

In case you're still interested, here is my theory:

" have you ever thought that back then when Shirazu saw Touka visiting someone at the hospital, that was most likely Hide?

The last time we saw him, it was implied that Ken had eaten him but that wasn't certain, Ken could have simply taken a bite or something.



In my opinion, what truly happened was Hide making an agreement with Arima that he would deliver him Ken only if they wouldn't kill him, as a last resort to keep him alive from that chaotic situation that took place in the battle.


However, Ken probably hurt Hide and now I think that he's in a coma, explains him being in a hospital 3 years after the incident, let alone the fact that since Shirazu saw there Touka, when they were visiting Shirohara, a man also in coma, they could have been in the same ward exactly because of being in the same clinical state.

The reason for which Touka is visiting him is probably because she feels guilty since she knows that Hide truly cared for Ken and also because for her, Hide is the last bond, her last connection to Ken of the past."

Except Arima stabbed Kaneki in the brain....twice :| Most ppl would think that would be enough to kill a ghoul

Yet right afterwards he took the rights of his ownership. As someone as strong and clever as Arima, I found it really hard to believe that he attacked Ken "blatantly" and that he just stood lucky not to kill him after all. In fact I think it's the other way around, I believe that Arima has great knowledge of Ghouls' anatomy and that he knew exactly what he was doing back then because he wanted to make sure not to damage his new "property".

P.S Arima cannot be considered by no means as "most people".

Well, Kaneki was one of if not the only ghouls to deal an injury to Arima, not only that he was Arima's kill so when Kaneki turned out to be alive, with no memory, and as innocent as Kaneki was in the beginning Arima probably just saw potential in Kaneki.

I don't know still don't think a dual brain stab is being careful

Well, Kaneki was one of if not the only ghouls to deal an injury to Arima, not only that he was Arima's kill so when Kaneki turned out to be alive, with no memory, and as innocent as Kaneki was in the beginning Arima probably just saw potential in Kaneki.

I prefer viewing Arima as a professional, it would be completely anticlimatic to go like this:

Arima: Hey Haise there's been something I wanted to tell you.
Haise: What is it Arima?
Arima: Well, the truth is that I stabbed your eyes and brain while I was trying to kill you in the past.
Haise: For real?!
Arima: Well yeah but you know, turns out that you are a tough nut and you were alive after all so I brainwashed you and made you my property but you're still alive.
Haise: G Arima thanks, I owe you one.
Arima: Not one, I own you as a whole

Anyway Arima didn't brainwash him. Kaneki's brain was completely clean already. Arima just raised him. Kaneki would have just been locked up if Arima didn't take interest in him.

Lol glad u liked it. Also, rather than think of Arima as someone completely professional I prefer to see him as someone so OP that can just act on whims and his interest and few ppl would say a thing

9/10 cant wait for next chapter for badass kaneki to return since the last page it seems all his hair is turning white

I had mixed feelings about this ch because it's like kaneki is back but he isn't his self so he pretty much is just a source of power . Because he stats he doesn't remember hinami

Yeah but on the other hand, at that momemt he hadn't cracked his fingers yet so who knows, he may remember something now that he "unleashed" kaneki's power.
