For me this chapter was exceptional but it was also somewhat bittersweet. It's one of these times that the mangaka does give you after all what you've been asking but not in the way you wanted to. Haise seems to accept more Kaneki as his old him now, as far as accepting that he wasn't a monster like he though he was but still, when he looks at Saiko's plea, his eyes are so null and void, the personification of apathy. :T_T::NO:

What did you think of it guys?

Im not sure who it was at the end, Sasaki or Kaneki
I think it's still Haise but this time he's not afraid of his old self so I guess he's willing to cooperate with him. However all this could be a trollish move, I mean yes, at this point Haise does believe that he's not Kaneki anymore but he might need just some more triggering of his memories, just because he believes he's not anymore, that's not make it a fact. More like an opinion based on what he currently knows and remembers.

Great chapter from start to finish. Kaneki is finally back and by the looks of it he is about to take on Takizawa. I liked the Suzuya part too, even his team is great.

Let's see what happens in the following chapters. Eto (Aogiri) and Uta (Clowns) might have something more up their sleeves.

I really am not sure about Kaneki being back. For me Hinami realized that Haise does not accept being Kaneki because that would mean go back to how his life was but rather he incorporated Kaneki's personality in his new one. Long story short, Haise has the memories of Haise but the personality of Kaneki. Complicated I know.

Great chapter. For me Haise won't disappear completely and u can tell the traits of Kaneki are already coming to the surface because of the way he cracks his knuckles. If I had to guess this is the same Haise/ Kaneki that fought Nishiki. Someone still blank, but a fusion between the two (Only has memories from Haise, but has Kaneki's personality). The weak Haise is probably gone though so I will just call this person blank Kaneki.

Kaneki will probably gain. His memories back gradually from here on out. We wouldn't want for him to remember that he ate Hide just yet, now would we?:hint:

You know I actually don't like how most people take for granted that Hide was actually eaten meaning dead. Many characters were thought to be dead but were not, Takizawa first of all and most probably Amon as well. Aside from that I have written a theory on another forum as to why I believe that he's alive, I'll copy paste it here afterwards because for nwo that forum is under maintenance or something.

You remember when Touka was seen visiting someone at the hospital when Shirazu went with Hanbee to visit Shinohara? I'm willing to bet that that someone was Hide who was at a coma or something, I'll post my reasons once I get access to that other forum.

So u think Kaneki just ate pieces of Hide and just left him there to die. :| there wasn't anyone else around and I would doubt anyone could survive for that longs I that Touka could rescue him :| Besides this is supposed to be a tragedy so it makes sense to to suspect tragic outcomes :bdpf:

Unfortuanely this other site still doesn't work but I'll answer in short. I believe that Kaneki might have eaten a little of him, let's say just a bite in order to regain some powers. I believe that Hide made some kind of a contact with Arima to deliver him Kaneki on the condition that he would not kill him. Now that may sound like a betrayal but judging by the situation, it could have been the safest - if not the only way- to keep him alive. As I said I wrote a complete theory based on that but I'm not going to write it from scratch here, tomorrow most probably I will have access to that forum again so I will answer you then in detail.

Hinami be praise! To hold her own against a full owl ghoul, damn baby! The Queen of Tolyo Ghoul.

11/10, masterpiece of a chapter.
You know I think Ishida is the only writer I know that can suprise the readers by changing the powers of a character. Usually, when a character is presented weak and he's not the main character, he's condemned to stay weak till the end. Who would have thought that Seidou and Hinami would have such a development.

:| that sounds like a bit of a stretch, but whatever. I think the most probable thing is that Kaneki just ate him :coffee:

Sidenote: Has anyone noticed that as time goes on more and more of Haise's hair is turning white :|

Well Knowing the author is not ignorant and seeing Himami inherited her parents Kagunes (both of them) I knew she was destine for greatness, I was waiting for it ever since the fight against mado in the tunnel Dx

In case you're still interested, here is my theory:

" have you ever thought that back then when Shirazu saw Touka visiting someone at the hospital, that was most likely Hide?

The last time we saw him, it was implied that Ken had eaten him but that wasn't certain, Ken could have simply taken a bite or something.

In my opinion, what truly happened was Hide making an agreement with Arima that he would deliver him Ken only if they wouldn't kill him, as a last resort to keep him alive from that chaotic situation that took place in the battle.

However, Ken probably hurt Hide and now I think that he's in a coma, explains him being in a hospital 3 years after the incident, let alone the fact that since Shirazu saw there Touka, when they were visiting Shirohara, a man also in coma, they could have been in the same ward exactly because of being in the same clinical state.

The reason for which Touka is visiting him is probably because she feels guilty since she knows that Hide truly cared for Ken and also because for her, Hide is the last bond, her last connection to Ken of the past."
