So I just finished watching the anime guys and I must say that I was left really disappointed. Not only did it have many abrupt changes (I do not follow the manga) but my main problem is that I thought that this anime had great potential to be at least twice or even thrice its material. Let aside the plotholes like these twin sisters who were one-eyed ghouls as well, I found the ending really anticlimatic. I can say with the utmost certainty that never in my life had I ever watched an anime that I thought that it had such potential, going completely wasted. Unless ofc if the manga continues after the anime in which case I will be happy, but if not, it was a huge disappointment indeed, at least based on my high expectations from the very first episodes.

Yes, invalid thread.

The season one and two skipped a lot of depth, arcs, fights, etc. It doesn't have any plotholes. You're going to have to read the manga from the beginning. Also the second part of the manga already started.

How can you say it has plotholes, when you haven't even read manga?

whats a plothole about the sisters? how are you pointing out plotholes if you don't follow the source? unless you're calling it a plothole w/n itself?

Yeah I think you're right, it's just that I didn't want to start the manga from the the scratch while the anime covers so many chapters but judging by the decreased quality, you're probably right.

Well supposedly following the anime adaptation of a manga should give you the same number of answers as the manga, the difference will be they way you'll understand them. As for the way I call them as such is because supposedly Kaneki is the first person who became a half ghoul via transplant, yet these girls, while in the anime they appear at the flashback with the investigator as normal people, then we see them with one ghoul eye each and they tell something "we left our humanity aside". It's just too cryptic. They couldn't have been ghouls from the start because then they would have been complete ones, and becoming by surgery is just strange based on how Kaneki is supposed to be the first one. However, the real problem is how easily Rize die at the first episode while we know all too well how durable ghouls are.
Please read the manga. It's so much better than the anime it's ridiculous.
I'll do it and I'm happy for it being an ongoing :)

My answer to you is the same as to Kaira.

well yea they didn't explain it in the anime, but the anime went its own route.
kaneki was the first, not the only. the surgeon didnt die after he made kaneki.
those were steel beams that fell on rize, ghouls are durable but again, steel beams are steel beams.
dont wanna spoil for you how the twins became ghouls as well but if you think a little bit you can arive at the conclusion on your own

Yeah I thougtht so as well but you know, they firsh show Kaneki like a miracle and then these b!tches come in the scene like "no we're more" without any explanation. I'll definetely read the manga and I'm really happy that it's ongoing =D

I think the anime ended today. I doubt they'll make another season since the sequel manga started not long ago.

However, I just read that they confirmed an OVA.
They did tease it in the end with Touka.
They might make it after the manga expands some more but with them cropping out so much they might aswell make it full on anime only story
